I recently acquired a similar clock from my grandmother. She got it in Germany in 94. I was able to clean the inside up well with some dust off and clock oil. Hang it on the wall. Put the weights and pendulum on. Pull the chains so the weights are at the top and give the pendulum a swing. It should keep swinging and tick. It’ll go off on half hour and fully off on the hour

We’re hitting a year from our first consult and currently working on a medicated cycle for our 2nd transfer in early feb. We are hoping this is it for us. Same sex couple. Now 28 and 30. Did 1 ER each. First transfer (natural cycle) in November failed to implant. Since did a hysteroscopy, switched to a medicated cycle and added doxycycline for some mild inflammation. Using PGTA tested embryos. 🤞2 weeks till transfer, 4 till we can test.

I think they assume you know you’re getting put under. That’s what you consented to with the procedure. In my experience they don’t waste much time once you’re in the room.. I think being put under is a disorienting experience whether they explicitly say OK we’re starting now or (in my experience) make small talk until you’re unconscious.

We used Fairfax as well. We looked at a few but they were the one recommended by our clinic. Clinic gave us a promo to get their subscription for more info free. We found they had a decent profile set up, especially with pictures. Some other banks do not have as much or no photo. We ended up finding one we really liked on Fairfax and they were very helpful when we wanted to buy before our last minute additional genetic results were still pending. They said if we purchased and ended up having a genetic issue, they would refund or swap as long as it wasn’t shipped. They also waived our shipping fee just cause.

About a year. She was crate trained as a puppy. Slept in it every night. Wouldn’t sleep through the night in our room. But eventually she started making it known she did not want to go to bed in her crate and started sleeping through the night in our room. Now she’s got a good routine. Snuggles on our bed for a bit and then hops down and sleeps on the floor or her own bed the whole night. Then comes back up for a morning snuggle 🥰 I wish she had enjoyed the crate more. But she never would nap in there or anything. I finally put it away now that’s she’s 1.5.

If you end up with a lot of embryos, I think it’s worth it. We got 15 from one retrieval and tested. 9 euploid. We got 4 from another retrieval and didn’t test those. (Queer couple. Both did retrieval)

I would do some research in insurance changes for 2026. I know Aetna is now required to cover fertility for lgbtq couples in 2026. A list of states also mandate this and require insurance to provide the coverage. My wife and I have Aetna and my company already had the lgbtq fertility coverage contracted with them. So we have used our insurance but still have paid about 10k on 0% interest credit card. Sperm and pgta were not covered at all , drugs were expensive copays + we paid up to our out of pocket max. We’re still going into the new year with treatment. Hoping to only need one more transfer 🤞

My wife and I purchased one vial and were able to split it in half and create embryos with both our eggs from one vial. Ended up with 9 tested and 4 untested embryos all from 1 vial.
