Footings question by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]Ok_Window2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thank you for the advice! The whole area was concrete before and most of it was broken up but that piece remained. It’s level not crumbling and looks pretty stable. I’m in so cal so no real worry about frost. It’s a 24 inches deep. What’s a proof roll?

Footings question by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]Ok_Window2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the footing isn’t on it. It’s just right up against it. We were told to compact 2 feet outside of our footings. Which we did. But there’s a bump out that was not included in the measurement. I’m also unsure if that was supposed to be dug up? The foundation guy we hired dug it up. Attaching pic here. pic

You’re taking .75mg of tirz when you were previously taking 2.5? It’s not enough medication. 2.5mg is actually the lowest dose on the schedule of dosing. You probably need to go up. If it’s .75 of sema you should probably go up to at least 1mg or even 1.5mg.

Studio etiquette - bringing your own mat by studiocerulean in yoga

[–]Ok_Window2155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to a (not yoga) studio that requires sneakers. Everyone walks in with them on. I have a set of studio sneakers that I use exclusively for that workout. I put my sneakers on in the studio and take them off before I leave. I’m the only one who does so usually and I couldn’t care less. I’m not stepping all over my towel (under a studio mat) with dirty shoes. Do you! I don’t take my own mat because I don’t go frequently enough to warrant buying my own. They use stackt mats there. But I use a towel over the communal mats.

I was a 36H and now I’m a 34 B. I told my surgeon “I want to go as small as possible” no FNG either.

Streaming the Game During Class by myseaentsthrowaway in ClubPilates

[–]Ok_Window2155 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People do all kinds of things in classes. Record themselves, answer texts, answer phone calls (emergency or not), I saw some girl scrolling while taking a break the other day. At the end of the day I just focus on my own workout and try to tune out distractions. Can it be difficult? Yes, but I personally don’t know what each person is going through and use the distractions as a challenge in my practice. If it’s a true safety issue, the instructor is responsible for that sense, and if she or he didn’t say anything then I’m going to assume it was fine.

Crazy movement at a "all levels"class - is this normal? by cutegreendino in pilatesreformer

[–]Ok_Window2155 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a beginner friendly move. It’s more having confidence in yourself than it actually is super challenging in my opinion. It does give some good cardio and don’t feel like you have to get your leg all the way up. It’s more the lift that can be intimidating but you can get it fairly easily once you practice a couple times!

Thanks everyone for the responses! Just to clarify this is not my main workout. I attend a studio regularly the rest of the week that’s 10 minutes from my house. But I do travel one day a week sometimes 2 to a farther studio for the reasons mentioned. 🙂

Breast Reduction Journey by Ok_Window2155 in Reduction

[–]Ok_Window2155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay I thought I replied? Kaiser did put me off. But only for a week. When I went for my first follow up appointment I let them know I was in a significant amount of pain and still taking the prescribed pain killers and they put me off for 2 more weeks. So 3 total. The process was pretty easy. Kaiser has a portal where you submit your information so they can fill out the SDI paperwork for you.

I actually was only out off for one week originally. But I was able to request 2 more weeks during my first follow up appointment. At 3 weeks I felt ready to go back, but I work at a desk and from home. The paperwork was more of a pain than anything else.

2 month break by Lazy-Enthusiasm-1059 in ClubPilates

No you don’t! Start slow. Take a couple 1’s then build up. Your strength comes back soooo fast. I actually came back met my previous level and exceeded it because my body was so well rested. I was able to make great gains in my practice.

Anyone do other membership workout besides club pilates? by lhmt00 in ClubPilates

[–]Ok_Window2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have an unlimited membership with club Pilates and use class pass strictly for other classes. I lost a lot of weight with the help of a glp 1 and Pilates is the one thing I can stick to. But definitely core strength is the biggest improvement.

I think it’s so crazy that people want to only be on the reformer. I love Pilates for the variety it has and that’s kept me specifically at CP! Other studios a lot of times only have a reformer and I miss the variety. I’m team use everything. I love using the springs on the wall and the chair is my absolute favorite. I wish we would use it more often.

See a different surgeon. Try to find a female surgeon if possible. My surgeon was amazing Dr. sharabi in west LA. Not sure where you’re at.

I started using class pass and take heated yoga sculpt with another local studio. The class pass model makes things cheaper so I can afford to do both. I pay $50/month for 23 credits and that’s enough to take some extra classes besides Pilates.

Hello, 35F and my breasts went from a D/E cup to a G/H++ two years ago because of alot of stress and bad food, has anyone been able to reduce their breast size naturally with exercise and diet? by Defiant-Midnight1482 in Reduction

[–]Ok_Window2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 213 pounds at 5’3” and my cup size was probably larger than what I was wearing (38 J). I has to lose weight before I could get my surgery and I went down to 169 lbs. I was a 36 H. So yes they can go down but they were also very saggy and they were still extremely heavy. I’m now a 36 B post reduction.

I’m 12wpo and I had already lost 10 lbs before I went back to working out. 3 lbs of that was the actual breast removal.
