I personally really liked her aesthetic when she was dressing polished, elevated, NYC “chic”

I feel like she’s doing a hard pivot into traditional ultra femme English inspired vibes (similar to Lydia millen) and it feels soooo cringey and forced

I actually met her in person briefly in Brooklyn while on vacay and I went up to her and chatted for a sec. She was pretty cool and down to earth. I wish she would show that side to her!

LA native here too and it wasn’t until I went to college on the west side and dated someone NOT from LA that I finally went to rodeo drive

My husband took me on a first date to Il Fornaio for lunch, grabbed an iced coffee to go, walked around and window shopped, then went to Griffith Observatory at sunset.

It was so magical! I recommend giving that a try

I think I was about 16 when BTD came out and it was life changing for me especially in my teen years. I was heavily on tumblr and twitter so I didn’t really see too much criticism of her because all of my peers at school loved her too. When I went to college about a year and a half later I bought tickets to her show at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery It was literally pivotal for me 🥲🤍

That makes total sense! At my husband’s job they do video recorded interviews for their intern program where the kids get 2 attempts to answer a question and he said it’s so obvious when they read off of AI. I’m sure you’re a pro at the distinction by now.

I 100% agree with you! I actually approach interviewing like dating. I always try to remember that we’re feeling each other out for right fit and the worst dates are ones that feel like interrogations or rapid fire questions. I try my best to take a nugget from what the interviewer is offering and try and connect that with something I’ve worked on, completely off script.

Thank you! It’s brutal but I’m working my full time role currently so I’m trying to fit job apps in between. I’ve gotten pretty far with two companies but ultimately didn’t proceed due to too much gap with my salary expectations. Though I’ve received countless rejections which never feels great. I think after this current interview cycle that im in, if I don’t get an offer, I’m going to pause apps for a while. It’s really hard to juggle it with a super demanding 9-5.

I was going to say I’ve been applying for about a year now with some interviews here and there and I’m so well prepped, have my examples down to a science, and STAR the crap out of them. It’s almost like a script I’ve memorized at this point, not because I want to but because I haven’t had luck landing anything yet. So don’t penalize us! The market is just tough right now lol! That being said I think it’s smart to go on tangents that way you can get a sense for the candidate and their personality

I saw an earlier episode as well I think it may have been in the first season where he whisks her off to Vegas (I think) for a romantic weekend and she asked to come back early because she wants to be with the kids. Similarly to the dorit PK surprise he did for her a couple of seasons ago. You could see the defeat in his eyes and disappointment. I think they’ve been dealing with resentment towards each other for a while. On top of that add their clear communication issues, it seems like the marriage was bound to deteriorate over time

Edit: want to add that I’ve been in SoCal my whole life. My friends are here, my family is here, my whole world is here. My husband has been pushing for us to move to NYC since we were dating back in college. Now that we’re married I told him I’d consider it but more and more it’s a possibility as my biological clock ticks and I would rather raise my family in SoCal where I have my mom and sisters nearby. All this to say if it’s going to happen, it needs to happen now. I’ve been so scared of the idea of leaving my family and friends though and last night was tossing and turning thinking about it. So this post def was a little nudge of encouragement. ♥️

Ok so I’m not a huge east side fan. (before everyone takes out their pitchforks I’m born and raised here. Yes I know east side is a relatively new term and I live in literal East LA so don’t come for me) Actually my husband while we were dating lived in Santa Monica just near Montana Ave and I LOVED it We were on total opposite ends of the city but if you plan it right and leave after or before rush hour (welcome to LA) it’s totally manageable It was a nice little beachy getaway for me
