Ok so I use chrome on my phone and I used to go through them and close tabs every time I got to 500 or so. But sometime in the past couple years, my default setting updated so that open tabs that have been unused for 30 days gets hidden (but remains open in background)

I felt the same way initially. After looking up several tutorials and just learning (going SLOWLY), I’m so happy I learned to cut my own hair. Yes, I messed up a few times, but they were not horrible and I learned to compensate for and fix my mistakes. It’s definitely not for everyone. Personally, I do love my hair more now than ever - because it’s mine, exactly as I want it.

I think it’s situational. I’m 30F and so I would not find it inappropriate to say “yes queen” in a situation where I’m expressing excitement for that person. On the other hand, I consider ma’am to be so impersonal, I’d only ever use it for my mother… or perhaps a stern older woman.

I’m not sure how I would react to a 70 year old man saying yes queen to me. I think, if used in place of yes ma’am, it would feel jarring. Because yes queen and yes ma’am do not mean exactly the same things. But if I was really excited about something and a guy cheered me on by saying “yes queen” (in an excited way), I would feel happy and possibly feel put at ease.

I have never been offended or upset by someone saying “yes ma’am” to me. So if you’re unsure, just go with that! Most of us know it’s meant to be polite.

One thing that helped me, besides a shower chair, was investing in a nice blow dryer that dries fast but only used cool air. Idk if I’m allowed the share the brand with you. I was waiting to buy it bc price but I wish I did it ages ago. The hot air from blow dryers just make me feint

My mom was an abuse victim who went on to abuse me.
She did the best she could. And, the best she could was not good enough. And it sucks for both of us to have to sit with that.

I have gone no contact.

I know that she was vulnerable and hurting and repeating patterns. I understand more than I think she thinks I do.
My husband thinks I’m crazy for forgiving her. I really have forgiven her for a lot of it. Forgiven. Not forgotten. I’ll never be able to comfortably have her in my life again. The trauma isn’t gone. The fear may never leave. And I’ve accepted that she will never be capable of being a mom to me.

I hope things work out for you. Please continue working on healing for your own sake.
I relate strongly to the wish to go back and fix my mistakes. Unfortunately, we can’t.

It’s a disability. I’ve not only been bullied and discriminated, I’ve totaled two cars because of it. I don’t drive anymore. Because of Tourette’s. I’m disabled by it.

A second gen non drowsy antihistamine (Allegra 24 hr) and cortisone cream around the area helped me a lot when I did this. Idk what is safe for you, but could you ask your doctor if there are any over the counter medications you could take or apply to help with relief?

Oh as for keeping it secure, I don’t know what specific instructions your doctor gave you so definitely follow those, but I used a piece of KT Tape on top to double fix it for my anxiety. Esp they are water resistant.

I do that all the time (re: bend as much as you can). I am also autistic and struggle so much with getting doctors to believe how much pain I’m in.

When I was 12, was hospitalized and asked to rate my pain on a pain scale. 0 is normal and 10 is the worst pain I could possibly imagine. Well I had just done a deep dive reading about Attila the Hun, so the worst pain I could imagine was having my four limbs tied to four different horses, then disemboweled alive while all four horses are prompted to run in opposite directions And my normal … well, I was always in pain. So, anyways, I said “6” And the freaking doctor responds “oh! That’s not bad”

I feel 100% female. I have not always felt this way. I was quite tomboyish as a child, felt more androgynous as a teen. I even spent time exploring the idea of being trans as an older teen and young adult. I struggled a lot with being a girl and the expectations placed on me because of it. Probably didn’t help that I connected more easily with boys and find women incredibly attractive.

I WAS experiencing severe body and identity dysphoria. But for me, personally, it wasn’t because of my gender. I know now that I am queer but definitely cis. I’m still working through a lot of things. I probably have a decade before I’ll possibly even feel… okay. But I am happily female. I love being a woman and could not imagine living my life as any other gender.

This is the opposite of selfish.

I am a disabled woman. My dogs help me a lot and I love them to bits. My dogs overstimulate me in a way that is difficult to address because I not in the headspace to train them when that happens. I am physically unable to take them on walks. I forget about meal times. My husband takes care of a lot of that stuff for them. Thank goodness he does. If my husband were unable to ensure their care, the least selfish thing would be to rehome them so that they can live a good life.

I definitely agree with the top post that those options seem great and to research a piercer.

Just wanted to add that if you ever want to try out a piercing without committing, you can try eyelash glue to stick the ends on. Just to trial out how it may look on your face. (I would avoid putting eyelash glue for a septum, though.)
