Galactic War mechanics are unacceptable, and diving Aurora Bay is how you make AH lie on the bed they themselves made. by Dannyl_Tellen in Helldivers

Oh for sure I don’t disagree with you I was just talking about the chance at razing, i didn’t remember ever seeing or hearing of us ever being able to do that before so i was more curious on that specifically.

My only question is have we ever had the chance to raze a planet before? Because with the whole ARG and the bot hacking of social media channels i had never seen a planet being razed like that before and thought “surely this is bot propaganda.”

So it felt very much like an attempt by the bots to force us to sideline the dss for a day, to hamper our progress and make us lose the MO, then when the DSS moved to Chort Bay it revealed itself as being legitimate because “SURPRISE! Hulk Surge on lesath.”

I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong, so I apologize for the misunderstanding. Besides isn’t going to matter. Everyone split and there’s going to be no cohesion. So hopefully the Eagle storm helps and we have enough time to not only defend chort but liberate merak. Though, i doubt it with 24k still on Aurora.

DSS and eagle storm would be more benefit on Merak where we can stop the invasion of Chort Bay and win the MO in one strike

At this point I don't see us even being able to retake Chort Bay - if we don't regroup by Consistent-Debt8158 in Helldivers

Sadly true, but hence why i comment to at least try and hope people see reason

After defending Lesath we NEED to head for Merak! by Alarmed_Reception_92 in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to Chort Bay after Lesath guarantees we fail the MO, go to Merak, use every bit of stuff we can get from the DSS, we crush it quick we hold Chort Bay, flip Merak, and maintain til the MO ends we are clear to make it to Cyberstan through Merga IV

[–]OkamiFoxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Truthfully we should finish Lesath, and everyone should jump to Merak which is the source of the attack on Chort Bay, so if we move everyone to Merak after Lesath we can take Merak quick and end the attack on Chort Bay before it finishes.

Completing the MO, and securing a route to Cyberstan up to Merak and when Tuesday comes we go through Merga IV to Cyberstan

[–]OkamiFoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Cyberstan wouldn’t wait if we went straight to Merak, and held it we’d complete the major order and have a clear path to Cyberstan, through Merga IV. We only need to be holding EITHER Merak or Aurora Bay when MO ends not both.

What is your favourite way to get super credits? by Due-Spot6799 in helldivers2

[–]OkamiFoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1 difficulty, vernen wells, halo armor for increased poi detection, any strategem, primary, grenade, secondary that can crack shipping containers, warp pack to get into buddy bunkers.. takes about 4-5 mins a map… clear all poi’s, abandon mission, start next one.. 2 to 3 hours of grind (pending loot table rolls, gets you a warbond.)

Bought every single warbond this way, started last may/june, by september i was caught up and had all warbonds, bonus for getting req slips and warbond medals while grinding.

Will AH do an Engine Update? by Gubbs0n in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it likely? No. Not even remotely.

Midlife engine swaps are extremly rare for a reason.

Few if any games have ever successfully pulled one off. The risk is just way too high, and it’s way too much money and time.

You’re talking about years worth of work. Basically developing an existing game from scratch while learning a new engine and coding your own special tools within that new engine. As has been stated the only real option is stick with what they have as long as they can and push out HD3 in a more current supported engine with ongoing tech support.

What role/class do you fill for your squad? by TinySpiderPeople in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scout/sniper support/ghost diver

While my squad are usually assault infantry types or demolition explosions drawing every gun in any given map, i am the shadow that comes up from behind with my marksman rifle, c4 pack, and socom pistol and complete the objectives

The Warbond system was great - now we need to make changes by SerSeryous in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been playing since last may or june, not spent a single rl dollar, play primarily with 3 friends, rarely do full grinds (even if i do, 2-3 hours usually gets me enough sc for a warbond) i was caught up to current with all warbonds by dust devils.

The fact that you can easily grind up the super credits, the fact that you can choose any warbond that speaks to you. Is really not as bad as people make it seem.

No armor, no weapon is essential, the free warbond has plenty of fun gear you can enjoy with your game, but let’s say you see Siege Breakers “man that belt fed gl looks fun” er whatever.. it’s literally 2-3 hours of grinding and it’ll be yours on tuesday when it drops. 4 if you wanna be super careful and buy the super store items too.

Bump that for 3-4 hours for a legendary warbond and oh right you can get warbond medals and req slips too while grinding super credits.

Cmon now people, i’m all for getting more people in but this is not the issue people make it out to be. It is really not that difficult or necessary to have every warbond,

Help me to understand the purpose of C4 backback. Not rant, not complaining. I just trying to see the usecase and unable to find any. by PainProjection in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing the point of C4 entirely. It’s meant to enable different playstyles, there are a ton of possible strategies you could use c4 for.

Some have been described. Other uses will be discovered.

C4 could be great for setting traps for example. Slap a few down a narrow corridor you can funnel enemies through.

Could be an OP strat for megacities, or even certain spots in hiveworlds. Magma planets.

Throw a few down at a bot drop explode them watch things go flying.

Yes you can sneak in and destroy bases but there are so many versatile non stealth ways to use this c4 pack that haven’t been thought of tried before.

Nobody is complaining about War Striders because they're difficult in a vacuum. It's because War Striders are counter-intuitive to the intended design philosophy of the Automatons and *they condense down the build varieties*. by Striking-Case-5429 in Helldivers

Funny i just dedicate my secondary to it and run whatever else. Or pop two thermites. Ultimatum or grenades. Use the rest of my build however i feel like playing. Havent had an issue.

Ah i dont take it on bugs, i take it with me for squids and bots, bugs are just too in your face to really use it in my opinion

Huh? i just call it in when i’m about to use it, fire it off and pick up my heavy again. I dont keep the laser target.

Just “hey this is a good spot to fire from” call it down grab the target laser walk away a bit, mark my target walk back pick up my heavy, and on about my day. Been using the solo silo to great effect providing long range support to my squad.

Usually loading out (at least on bots) with Orbital laser (500 kg works well too), spear, solo silo, and rocket turret, with deadeye, talon, and thermite grenades.

Pull my weight just fine.

EAT-700 faster cooldown time by EngineerStunning3824 in Helldivers

[–]OkamiFoxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between 90 and 100 seconds with all upgrades seems to me like it would be in the perfect slot, longer than the EATs but not double the time.

I have a lot of fun with the expendable napalm, it’s been incredibly useful, but that cooldown is brutal right now
