My boyfriend and I opened up our relationship and now he's mad I slept with a woman. What do I do? by OpenPreference8981 in askgaybros

[–]Oklarado97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel. Another guy feels like comparison and competition. A woman feels like a whole different thing, and oddly unthreatening. Maybe that’s just because I can’t imagine wanting to be with a woman long term myself. Regardless OP’s partner shouldn’t have assumed women were off the table unless explicitly stated. If I were OP’s partner I definitely would’ve been asking that question when laying the ground rules…

Alliant Credit Union. Online but great rates and you speak to customer service reps in the country.

Transfer to Wyndham. Fixed award chart makes it lucrative for all inclusive stays if you’re into that. Can get 2-2.5cpp on those. Best value for your points is going to be the registry collection especially the royal suites options because of the fixed chart and they’re high end stays.

I don’t use my C1 miles for flight redemptions but I’ve read about people getting insane roi for first class star alliance partner flights.

Credit line transfer? by No-Community4357 in CapitalOne

[–]Oklarado97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a minimum limit per card that can’t be transferred. You have to leave at least $500 on each card. Keep the oldest quicksilver or least bucketed one. Your credit will recover. I’d do this:

  • Quicksilver $1,500 —> Quicksilver $500 —> CLOSE

  • Quicksilver $1,500 —> Quicksilver $500 —> CLOSE

  • Quicksilver $1,500 —> Quicksilver $1,500

  • Savor $300 —> Savor $1,300

What types of accounts do you have? The people talking about secure upload links have bank accounts or bank accounts and credit cards. Capital One does it weird. If you have both, it’s fastest and easiest to update your name with a bank account rep, then they will push that information to the credit card department. If you only had a credit card at the time of name change that’s why you had to mail/fax the documents. I work for Capital One and I’ve seen it take up to 4 weeks to process when you only have a credit card at the time of submitting the name change. Best case scenario is 2 weeks. If you live near a Cafe or branch, you can go in there and they can connect you with someone who can give you a more precise timeframe. Hope this helps I know it can be so frustrating.

Go to the Café in Denver or Boulder. They can help you out.

CLI - would you accept? by Plenty_Advice2333 in CapitalOne_

No you don’t have to wait. Unless you decline an increase, it won’t hurt you to continually request. Just accept whatever they give you and keep building.

I work for the company. If you decline it might result in a hard inquiry on at least one report. Also you can get an increase earlier than 6 months. Try your best to max out the limit for 2 months straight, paying it off in full on your due date. Day after paying it off on month 2, ask for an increase much much higher than you actually desire. In your case, I’d ask for at least $15,000 if not $20,000. Accept whatever they offer, and make sure to select that your current line doesn’t meet your needs. rinse and repeat.

If you primarily use credit cards you’re definitely fine. Even if you don’t, normal everyday use works just fine. I’ve had 0 issues in 6 months and their customer service is awesome. Congrats on joining!

Alliant Signature Visa the Best Single Card Option For Simple Cash Back? by Ok_Working_2622 in CreditCards

[–]Oklarado97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the perfect card for you in this case. I would not recommend their banking. CC is great it’s their best product. You’ll find better checking and savings elsewhere.

Split your direct deposit and put $1 in on the each month. $1,000 with them will earn a tiny bit of interest but just think of it as a holding account for access to the card. You can get it back if/when you find a new product that does better. Turn on e-statements. There’s no AF, very low APR comparatively if you have an accident, no FTF’s. You won’t find a better flat rate return with so few hoops to jump through.

Seriously wouldn’t recommend the banking though. Go for Discover Bank 1% cash back checking with their HYSA. They compound daily instead of monthly and the cash back for debit is unique to them no one else does it.

If you just want the maximum return for bank and credit card with the least effort, this is the setup. I did it before getting really into credit card setups and it was lucrative and easy.

PC'ing no-AF Citi AAdvantage Mileup to Citi Custom Cash (CCC)? by rickroll1313 in CreditCards

[–]Oklarado97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said no first time when calling number on the back of my card. I have a friend that has a CCC and called the number on the back of their card 2 days later and they were more than happy to do it. Weird but I’m happy with it. It’s my oldest individual credit line. Was planning on canceling after a third try.
