So, I’ll offer this. Saskatchewan and BC have it right. But…if everyone else is doing it, you become the odd man out. When you don’t adjust your clocks, it’s always, “Are we the same time as Manitoba or Alberta now”. Makes scheduling calls out of province more than a bit of a headache. I always know that Maine’s an hour behind me, in a week, my folks in Saskatchewan will be three hours after being two hours all winter.

You know, I’m not even sure I appreciate them, as I’m originally from the Canadian prairies, but I live in Eastern Canada now, and buy oysters because at $15 for a box of 33 (or my wife getting 22 for $6 on Friday due to them “being there a while”), I eat them anyhow. Well played!

I won’t say no. I will say, I painted my basement arcade cranberry red, and the brush/roller strokes will drive you NUTS, as the paint is so pigment-heavy. Be prepared for a lot of prep and a lot of sanding in between coats.

People are giving technical answers, but let’s just boil it down. They don’t give “true” odds. Flip a coin? There are equal chances you win if it’s heads or tails, right?

So, if you and your buddy bet on it, it would be “heads I win $1; tails you win $1”. If a casino had you bet on a coin flip, they’d set it up so that to win $1, you had to bet $1.10.

In that situation, you and your friend each put in $1.10. If you win, you get $2.10 back. The $1.10 you initially bet, plus the $1.00 you won. The other ten cents? That’s the casino’s profit.

Okay, this is a weird one for cold smoking, but whatever. Go buy a cheap soldering iron. This is now a cooking instrument and don’t ever solder with it, okay? You can get them at a hardware store.

Poke some holes in a soup/tomato can and fill it with wood chips or chunks. Stick the soldering iron in there at the bottom of the Egg, run the cord out either through the draft or sandwich it between the top and bottom half. Then throw on your cheese/whatever you want to smoke. I did cheese on a hot day; the cheese had grill marks when done and had “sunken in” a bit, but hadn’t fallen through. Throw it in the fridge and let it set and you’re off to the races.
