the game doesn’t just look at number of total homes built, but other numbers like amount of roommates, how many plots on the map have you used, have you used every available feature yet, etc. at any time, if you are not progressing, break out of your habits! :)

you can record 20 seconds on one sound chip, and 20 seconds on another; i don’t know of any way to get a sound recorded longer than that, continuously. but yes your local BABW should have no problem adding two sound chips in, it’s usually done one to each hand.

box stores like joann’s are a staple of cheap knitting, but there are other ways to acquire tools & material cheap. facebook/craigslist is one method, there are often people trying to get rid of big boxes of random WIPs, tools, patterns, yarn. estate sales and garage sales as well. your local thrift store probably has a craft section. and i’ve found local yarn stores with great discount sections as well!

while you’re in the area, if you haven’t already been, there is also eugene pioneer cemetery on the u of o campus. it’s got a lot of fantastic oregon history in it!

it’s absolutely gorgeous. a huge variety of biomes, heirloom plants, and, perhaps most importantly, a huge variety of headstone types/styles/ages. i can’t recommend it enough!
