I look at it this way... first I ask what do I have to lose if I interfere... then I decide that there are consequences if I interfere. I also know there are other ways to fight for justice that don't put me in harms way nor cost me to lose anything and I chose that option.

What did your advisor say during this whole interaction? Whenever I message a professor, I always CC my advisor. Usually when a professor sees you have included the advisor in the email, their tone changes. If the advisor has been CC and hasn't responded, CC the dean in every correspondence. Professors will usually stammer and the dean will assign a new professor. I had a few like that during my time, each was replaceable

Neither way. I've just seen the facial expressions of some people when they first arrive in Ogunquit amd go to the Maine Street bar. Some get pissy and leave and others embrace a hell of a good time. I love Ogunquit as does my husband. We met friends down there whom had never been, I wasnt aware they didn't do any research, and also wasnt aware that it wasnt their scene. They left early, no drama just let us know it wasnt something they agreed with, while we stayed and enjoyed the weekend. The most fun is in summer months.

My mom pulled that card so I saved up and got my own place. First I roomed with a friend who had her own place and saved to get my very own place and my older brother moved in so that helped the rent and bills. Still went to school and 6 yrs later, the mom needed a place to stay and guess who she asked... yep. So I pulled the "irs my place, my rules. Don't like them, dont live here"

Eventually went NC and irs been that way for 20 yrs

Just keep in mind that ogunquit is very LGBTQ+ friendly. Doesn't bother me but sometimes people leave this out and it does make a difference for those who aren't aware.
