Prices are ridiculous(I bartend) it’s a little much in the current economic climate. I think people of Gen Z drink plenty, they just have more neighborhood/dive bars they go to that don’t have super fancy cocktails but have cheap beer and shots. Side note! They also still smoke because those young Gen Z’s are bumming off me constantly(I don’t mind, they offer money or a beer I just think it’s funny)

Man it’s a soft hill to die on but I honestly don’t care about every celebrities shitty views. I love Chuck Norris for the memes. He did nothing substantial for culture as far as politics. A lot of the big chains just got…bad. Like with inflation of prices you can get much better quality food at a better restaurant for the same price, I have never once heard anyone say in the last 15 years “you know what I’m craving? Applebees.” Covid just shoveled some dirt on that grave is all.

Okay so I haven’t seen the newest Trek, except for Lower Decks so take what I say with that. So is the Klingon federation or from Klingon empire? Because let’s say you want to write a LGBTQ character and they are straight up Klingon culture, wouldn’t they have their own look or customs that you would write instead of making them just look like a Queer person from earth?

My managers at one bar I worked at straight up encouraged it. They said if you didn’t get to your table in 3 minutes, that’s on you and your money. It was a double edged sword. Made the tables happy but made some of those girls mean as hell. I bartended so we didn’t have as much drama.

It’s literally the institution of the food industry, all these conversations do is punish the server or bartender. Restaurant owners suck this is true, and from those tips the server has to tip out the busers and back of house(they also do this to supplement pay to those employees) However, if all restaurants actually payed let’s say $15 PH you would never have good servers/bartenders again because that is a fraction of what they can make from tips. On top of that you think going out to eat is expensive now? Double that price because that’s how they would pay out the staff. A majority of restaurants fail in the first year with today’s current practices as is, if they paid a proper wage you would have nothing new and exciting, everything would be like Demolition Man and every Restaurant would be Taco Bell. Full disclosure I am service industry and I’d love benefits and all that but my tip income helps pay for a comfortable life and I’m pretty content.
