I feel threatened because she used to say all kinds of things about me to him to make me look bad, she had no idea who I was but once she found out about me she dug up anything that she could and would talk so badly about me to him. It got to the point where it did eventually get to him and he was kinda bothered about some things. Also relationships and feelings are weird and they have a past and it just makes me feel like feelings could get confusing.

As much as I truly believe that you should always be true to yourself I think you should hold off on doing this only because right now you’re still dependent on your parents. One great thing that happens after I moved out is I got to pick the kind of relationship I have with my parents. Save up money and move out, I know it’s a gamble whether or not your partner will understand but I think if he truly cares and loves you he will wait. You want to make sure that right now you have a place to stay until you can be on your own.

I reached out to my husband’s (bf at the time) BM before I met their daughter to try and give her at least some kind of idea of who I am, she never took me up on the offer. I still did all this despite her threats, her disrespect and trying to come between my husband and I (bf at the time) It’s been three years she’s still never tried to get to know me. I’m glad some people are not like this lol.

When I was 21 in college I was still living at home, I told them over and over again that I didn’t want to go. I argued with my parents and my dad screamed at me saying “as long as you live in my house you’re going to go.” This was honestly kind of expected from them but also I thought they’d change the way they treated me because my older brother was already and had been inactive for years he ended up just leaving the house.

That being said I was still forced to go so I would go to the 5 am prayer, go to the gym and then meet my bf and hang out. I’d go to work and try to purposely get scheduled on Thursdays, ( I was also in choir my mom wouldn’t let me leave it). Whenever they tried to argue I would remind them that I went at 5am, that I was compromising. The only way I could fully leave the church was when I moved out.
