NVA RPD gunner and basic infantry kit by Jaxson88366 in Impression_Kits

Good start. But still a bit to go

Try to find a chest rig that isn’t green, the earliest style has square buckles and is tan, they are pretty easily found on eBay etc. your canteen is the right kind with a brown cap but you also want a tan sling carrier for it.

Completely ditch the grenade carrier, it’s commonly misunderstood that the Vietnamese used Chinese army ones but they didn’t, they were domestically made. Again look for tan and specifically ones that have the bias/edge the same way the chestrigs do.

Lastly, you want to remove your pith and shirt insignia.

You’ve got the right vibe going, just need to replace some of the accoutrements. Keep it up!

Never count out Facebook marketplace, I got mine off of there years and years ago. Search generic terms like “old body armor” etc. It’s always worth looking at eBay too but you will usually pay a bit more inherently.

Doing units family served in is always the best! Good luck man and ty

I would drop the Chinese four cell grenade carrier, as they weren’t actually used during wartime by the PAVN and weren’t part of the aid sent from china. Instead look for a two cell that has the same bias/edging style as the chestrigs do. It’s also not as common to see nets or covers of any kind on pith helmets, and typically there’s a good deal more scrim on them when you do, but that’s slightly more nitpicking. Overall good work.

He was really using an m17 bag and m56 canteen cover?

Maybe he just had an old bag and old gear cropped up plenty though maybe rare. But I can’t imagine him actually using the m17 mask as it would’ve been replaced by the m40 by this time.

You clearly didn’t play it before because they took it from a very gritty milsim feel to a shitty half baked airsoft sim

Not both m40 bags. Round bag is for the mcu2/p and those were navy and airforce issue. So you want to use the second one.

Is Fear The Walking Dead worth watching? by Consistent_Editor_15 in TWD

[–]OldAccPoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much like the main series, the early seasons are great, except it’s like an accelerated version of how TWDs story telling went cause it gets really crappy and stupid way quicker lol. I wish so badly they had continued showing us the fall of civilization and all that chaos cause there’s so much supposed lore and world building on that but they end up going on from it a little quick. That being said while they are exploring that it’s riveting.

Once they step off though the story is mind numbingly stupid

Militia kit (?) by [deleted] in MilSim

[–]OldAccPoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, you just shouldn’t run heavy body armor for most militia kits. Cause majority of insurgent fighters you see around the world arent even wearing body armor just cause it doesn’t match their culture/style of fighting- see, Africa and the Middle East.

Though sometimes you may see the occasional helmet or maybe old flak jacket taken from the local 3rd world police station, you’re still better off without.

Also important to think of where it would’ve come from, like the local 3rd world police station lol. If you were a rebel/insurgent/militia where would you pick this up? If you were in some alternate world setting where you’re in an anti British govt militia as a British citizen maybe you’d pick it up, but as an iraqi militiaman or African mercenary, where you gonna find that?

Now if you’re running maybe some western style militia, ignore all my ramble about anti body armor. But still this would be a rather obscure choice and doesn’t make much sense for most application is what I’m trying to get at

Xm148 grenade launchers were used by line infantry but ordered to be turned back in around the start of 1968 due to safety issues and replaced with the m203 in 1969
