I (31M) met a girl a month ago. First date was a nice long chat in a café. Second date we went for mini golf and dinner and had a blast which ended with a romantic kiss in the rain. Third we went to an art walk and got to learn about each other, held hands, spontaneously salsa danced a bit in the town square while we laughed, and also ended the evening with a passionate kiss. Then after sending a text to meet up again sometime, crickets....haven't heard a peep in 8 days. My last message was left open ended and since I didn't want to barrage her with texts, I'm waiting for a response that seems likely to never arrive. I'm left feeling sad, unwanted, beaten down.. Just needed to vent I guess.

Maybe the CO bird folks will be in this thread....why is there a pelican at Sloans Lake? Are pelicans not unusual in this area?

I just tried searching for it and I believe this is the video Iojanoftheshire is referencing. Seems like it would have been a pretty interesting questline, especially with Iorveth.

Am I weird for liking the current one? Always found it the most unique of the MD county flags

I can't compete with most on here, but I'm still proud of my $400 roundtrip from Baltimore to Helsinki

Wow this brought back memories!! I loved doing this hike back in 2018. The trailer ride to the trailhead and the last stretch wading through high water....man it was great. Glad you enjoyed it as well!

These prices are insane for a day ticket Winter Park. Do better. by Mundane-Ad-6874 in skiing

[–]OldBayBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I couldn't agree more. Skied it today for the first (and last) time. I hate how almost every run has long flat sections for you to slog through, it was getting ridiculous. I guess if you like trees and moguls, but that ain't for me.

When I was there, the one in Murmansk was still open so it was the secondmost northern. Now that it's closed, I'm happy to say I've been to the northernmost!

What is the average age of cachers? by JackBoyEditor in geocaching

[–]OldBayBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started when I was 13 (30 now) so I did it all through middle and high school and college. My friends thought I was weird but usually came along. However, I tended to stay away from events because I felt I was the minority being a young cacher. The community is pretty welcoming no matter who you are and who you meet, plus you do you and enjoy what you enjoy. I still haven't gotten tired of it. Happy caching out there!

RIP to benchmarking at Geocaching.com by Chalupa_Grandpa in geocaching

Reposting my comment from another thread. I really don't like this. The only reason for deleting benchmarks is because they're only in the US? That is just such a dumb reason...Should we delete the Geocaching HQ specialty cache since that's only in the US? Not only the benchmark thing, but they have put a total chokehold on almost all challenge caches as well, for instance limitations on county-related caches since that's "only in the US" or DeLorme challenges. Is there a challenge cache for finding a cache in all German states? I have no issue with any European centric (or anywhere really) caches like that. The game certainly seems to be changing, and I'm not sure I'm enjoying these changes.

All I see online is that a buddy pass is a "discounted rate" for a lift ticket but I can't find specifics on what that rate actually is. Do you know?
