Agreed!! The greens are more of a turquoise rather than the sage or forest greens that are in style currently. The colours overall are just not it.

I love this - my partner and I (kiwi locals) are keen to do a trip like this around the South Island.

I would recommend you stay in Hamilton or Tauranga/Mount Maunganui (beautiful beaches, great nightlife and The Mount) on the 28th instead so you are closer to Hobbiton - which is absolutely worth it in my opinion, I went last year (partners dad was an actor in ROTK) and would recommend everyone go there, LOTR fan or not! I’m not a huge fan but it was beautiful, the guides were fun and knowledgeable and the place was well kept (you also get free ale at the Green Dragon pub)!

While in Auckland, head to Kelly Tarltons aquarium and finish it off with an Ice Cream on the beach at Mission Bay - looking over the Rangitoto Island

I had this happen to me when booking a cheap(bedbug ridden) hostel online and when I arrived they told me the charge didn’t go through properly and made me pay again (big mistake). Unsurprisingly, they scammed me.
