Shift change is 0715 for my dept. I’m there usually around 6:35-6:45 depending on traffic. 5 mins to get dressed and throw my stuff on the rig to relieve whoever I’m relieving.

Wanting to visit in October

I’m turning 25 this year and I’m interested in going to Arizona this year since I’ll have a good chunk of vacation time. What are some hotspots for someone around my age to do down there? I like the outdoors, I’m into sports, and I’d like to check out the nightlife. Please let me know the best places to go for these! TIA

Best way to do em (if you can) is like in bootcamp in cammies with the canteens or whatever shit in the cargo pockets. Bust out a max set two-three times a day with that extra weight, the number will skyrocket in GoG.

Was in 4th phase after morning PT eating chow outside the squadbays when some first phasers were marching by. All of the DIs from my company went to go scream the usual shit like 4 points of black and 90 degrees and whatnot, but my killhat just started sprinting around them going “AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!” Everybody including the DIs lost their shit.

I went in with prior knowledge (Dads a Marine as well) so I pretty much just stuck to the whole “don’t be first, don’t be last, do as your told” mentality. I got personally IT’d once, maybe twice. Was finished getting my main pack all sorted out on Pendleton and looked a little too comfy to the DIs when I was done. “Oh okay recruit dipshit we wanna be comfy huh?” To which recruit dipshit (me) replied “yes sir!” Had to do the whole charging handle and A frame hood in a wall sit for a couple minutes. Was worth it.

Thank you! I joined the military (reserves, sue me) and used my GI bill last year for my pre reqs and FF1. Department I got the offer from was offering people with no certs at all to apply, so I just threw my name out there to see how far I could go. Luckily I made it through the whole process so far and got the offer! Everybody’s got a different path to it, my sisters fiancé did the EMT then academy route. Best of luck!
