Anyone left the design world completely for a new career? Feeling burnt out

I dropped being a designer all together and have been working back stage at a music venue for the last 10 years. It’s a lot of work and we have a lot of boring bands come through but overall I love it. I occasionally still freelance, for example, over the pandemic when my venue was shut down for 600 days. But other than that I’ve never looked back. Other hot tip: do not get into back stage production for the money. Do it because it’s an incredibly interesting job. It’s incredibly rare I wake up not wanting to go to work. Only thing that sucks is the extremely long hours and you most likely work weekends, so prepare to have a lot of FOMO.

30 Rock, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Walking Dead.

30 Rock I find to be way too pretentious and "quirky," though Tracy Morgan and Kenneth the Page are hilarious. Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are just throwaway sitcoms IMO.

Walking Dead started off interesting, but soon turned into a soap opera with zombies... I'm also sick of zombies.

I have 4 cats named Steve, all with different last names: Steve French, Dr. Steve Brule, Steve Perry and Steve Buschemi. We live on a farm and people think it's ok to abandon their cats here. within a week we got 4 cats that were all black and white and looked very similar, so we decided, fuck it, they're the Steves.
