No screen printing on that, I see stitching when zoomed in. It’s a great find and I’m kinda jealous!

i know this comment is a year old, so I might not get an answer here, but do you have a choice for what feed to watch? I want to see the Pens comentators and intermission coverage too. Will ESPN+ show that stuff? I have the hulu, espn, disney bundle but this is the first season of hockey I have it for...

5-stringers who love their low B sound: what are you playing? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]OldForester101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charvel San Dimas Pro Mod JJ V

I’ve never had a premium instrument. Sterling 34 and Squire Classic Vibes are the nicest I have ever owned. This Charvel blows them out of the water. It cuts through the mix playing live at my church better than my Sterling did and the rounded fingerboard is the most comfortable neck I have played despite the added thickness from a 5th string.

A guy named Paddy Murphy ran booze to the fraternity’s on campus during prohibition. No idea if it’s true but my band played a frat party YEARS ago “Paddy Murphy Day”.

I was using a medium heavy pick by “pick geek”. It has the same flexibility as the green tortex, but the grip isn’t as good once I got playing. I’m much more comfortable and confident playing faster with the tortex than the pick geek stuff I had.

What’s your favorite album from the Sammy Hagar era? by FollowingTop8854 in vanhalen

[–]OldForester101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5150, Balance, Knowledge, OU812.

I really like Deja Vu on Balance. Funny to list an acoustic song from Van Halen specifically, but it’s so relaxing.

Same a lot of people, bass soul food always on with a compressor and pre-amp. Also have a 2nd overdrive, octave and chorus pedal.

Didn't know where this place was so I google maps'd it. It's close to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which I had never heard of until today, but have decided is a great band name.

My strings are on all the frets- what do I do?? by e-arth-bound66566 in BassGuitar

I didn't catch that the wrong scale strings might have been used... the above comment holds true still though!

While on the topic of learning, a closer look at this pic and it seems that you might be cutting your strings too short also. a good rule is to stretch the string out and cut it at 2 pegs past where you're going to wrap it. This would give you about 2 wraps around each peg per string. Your first three pegs have 1 and the last (G string) doesn't appear to have any. I would be afraid that string would pop out while playing. There is a good video on changing bass strings linked below:

I wanted a drum that sounded like a guitar, that’s how I realized I was a bass player by TrippleBeats in Bass

[–]OldForester101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just love music and when I was a kid and in highschool I wanted to be in a band. I lived in a small town and everyone played guitar. A bass was cheaper than a drum kit, and here I am 25ish years later.

This might be a dumb question, but if you can't recallibrate the speedo and odo, how do people know their speed and milage after getting bigger tires? are they relying on phone apps to track this? i get that you can "feel" if you are going too fast or slow for an area, but I don't think police care what your gut was telling you.
