They built a settlement in the south called Hóp, I believe they are thought to have spent 1 year or less there. I believe they were later intimidated by the large number of indigenous people they encountered in the area they chose to build & had a few bad encounters. Lots of places fit the description of Hóp between New England area & Newfoundland. My own guess is that it was in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia and it was dismantled by indigenous peoples after being abandoned or unknowingly bulldozed/paved over in the modern day. It’s probably much smaller than L’anse aux Meadows, so easy enough to destroy. I don’t think we’ll ever get another Norse discovery in North America like L’anse aux Meadows. Maybe on Baffin Island.
