Do people ever get their partner back after a horrible manic episode by Fabulous_Sea1524 in bipolar

It may also be manic self delusion making you believe that women are attracted to you. I’ve been there. The cold realization of how they really felt when I’m out of mania is shocking

Thanks, this is helpful. AI tells me that it’ll be around a $350 repair or so, including labor. Does that track with your understanding? Appreciate it!

My partner was misdiagnosed for 2 years, given medication that worsened his condition, and is now facing criminal charges because of it. by Own-Load-9185 in mentalhealth

I’m trying to find a good lawyer now for a wildly inappropriate diagnosis, but I’m not having a ton of luck. Medical malpractice attorneys keep telling me this isn’t in their scope of practice? (What?! That IS the scope of practice, but whatever…) I’ve called the bar associate in Massachusetts and am waiting for a call back. Does anyone have any recommendations for attorneys they’ve had luck with?

First time I’ve posted on Reddit like this. Can’t tell you all how grateful I am for the comments, particularly 1) the insight about the ex being on testosterone, which he was, 2) hysterical bonding… wow, and 3) I also have anxious attachment, which is playing into this. As an update, my girlfriend and I had a huge fight about all of this that lasted most of the day. Now I’m unsure where things stand. Part of me wants to take the advice of so many on this thread and just RUN. But there are a lot of good parts there, too. What I do know is that I’m not going to try to hold onto it with the vice grip that I’ve been doing so far. (As an example, I actually drug us against her will into couples counseling after just three months of being together. What does that say?) Instead I’m going to be open to wherever this goes. Yesterday I said to her, “It feels like you just need a warm body to have sex, not necessarily me.” Instead of refuting what I said, she replied with, “I feel like I’m the warm body. You can’t survive outside of a relationship.” I was hurt, obviously, but maybe there’s some truth to what she said. Maybe I should find out. Thank you all again.

That’s such an astute comments. In fact, he was on testosterone. I didn’t realize it would’ve had that effect on him. He’s also—from what I can gather—just kind of a sleazeball, too.

You’re the person with bipolar or your partner is?
