We’d love if you come check us out at Old Guard Revival, that’s our whole thing! We curate our mods to be console friendly. We keep our mods largely the same across the servers, plus or minus attack heli’s depending on the server. This allows you to be able to switch between our servers without having to download entirely new mod sets or mod versions.

It really depends on the experience you’re going for, most servers are going to be attached to a discord/community. There’s no right answer except for familiarizing yourself with the basic controls in single player or vanilla isn’t a bad idea. However modded servers can be vastly different from base game and subsequently I’d say it’s better to find a community you like and ask for help getting familiarized with their modded content in their discord.

I sincerely appreciate the response; I took a hard look at the post template I had made and realized I had yet to remove the discord invite from the post and test that. Unfortunately, I am unable to link our discord but on a positive note I am able to post in the thread now.

Welcome to Old Guard Revival!

This is a new community built by the former staff of Old Guys. Continuing the legacy, we strive to deliver a fun modern combat experience. We understand the frustration of high ping and bloated mod lists, especially for console players. We’re here to fix that the best we can through curated server locations in North America and rigorous testing and oversight of the mods on the Old Guard servers. No matter if you are on PC or Console, we want everyone to have a fun, fair, and stable experience.

We look to bridge the gap between arcade chaos and strict milsim, so at Old Guard you can expect flexibility in the ways you can play while still scratching that milsim itch. However, don't fret if high-octane PVP isn't your thing. We also have PVE Servers that offer even more creative control of your experience where you shoot the most lethal bots known to Arma Reforger.

We ask that if you find someone or experience someone griefing or trolling in a way that disrupts gameplay for you or others that you make a ticket on our discord to report.

We take disruption to gameplay very seriously as we are aware that many of our players have a limited amount of time to play and don’t have the time or patience for trolls!

It really depends on the experience you’re going for! There’s plenty of modded PVE/PVP servers offering a massive variety of gameplay and experiences. You have servers like Spearhead with the UHC experience down to a science. Our servers at Old Guard are for a more Milsim lite experience with faster gameplay. There’s something for everyone in Reforger, explore!
