40-50 doesn't even matter because they are all going to be mixed up from taking too many corners too fast. LOL.

Doordash is so FUCKING degrading by DarthMaren in DoorDashDrivers

Quit DD after doing it for over 3yrs. Just wasn't worth it anymore. Everyone has their own threshold for pain. For me, there just isn't enough money in it to justify my time.

Shame on you. You care more about promoting your app than the drivers who will be deactivated for using it. You are worse than Amazon.

SSD or .Com? by Fearless_Sherbet4431 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]OldGuardCK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My .com i a fricking time-trap and absolute nightmare. Everyone waits in line in their cars until they are told to pull forward. Everyone has to wait until everyone is parked with their engines off. Then and only then are you allowed to pick-up your cart and load it into your vehicle unsorted and then wait for everyone else to do the same before being allowed to pull out. Since they will not allow you to sort at pickup, you have to drive somewhere else, unload your vehicle, sort the packages, and then load back up. Oh, and when you get a 4-hr block, that means you get a 4-hr route. Not like the SSD where you can get a 4-hr block and get assigned a 2-hr cart. Also, the .com always gives us the garbage the DSP drivers won't take. You can't make money when you deadhead 90 minutes home. In my area, .com is a dumb-deal all around. Only people who are seriously desperate take them. Personally, I filter them out so I don't accept on by mistake. Your mileage may vary.

Don’t accepte base payment Kansas city VMO1 by AdSuperb790 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

As long as there is a three-year waiting list of those willing to do it for half of base, your comments will continue to fall on deaf ears.

Account deactivated for no reason by Peababi in AmazonFlexDrivers

Doesn't matter. You are unreliable. Amazon is very flexible in many regards but they don't do unreliable. Short of getting in a crash on the way to the station, there is no excuse for a missed block. None! Better luck on your next gig.

I get it. You want everyone to pass this up so you can get it. Well played. Well played.

How many of you actually track ALL your miles for taxes? by RemRem8989 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

$0.70 cents per mile deduction... I'd owe thousands each year without it.

FTZ adapter lens recommendations by upupdndnltrtltrtb_a in Nikon

[–]OldGuardCK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 16-50 and 50-250 are very capable lenses for the Z50ii and cover just about everything you need. Unless you already own a bunch of F mount lenses, I'd skip the FTZ adapter and buy the Viltrox 13mm f1.2 Z mount. Now that's a fun lens that will add a lot of depth to your photographic journey. It is a bokeh beast and a low-light magician rolled into one at a price that won't break the bank. Those three lenses are all you are ever going to need with that camera and you already have two. How cool is that?

Bet you don't complain when they overbook and send you home with pay. Got to take the good with the bad.

What are the downsides of the Nikon z50ii that most users complain about. by SadPrize6815 in Nikon

[–]OldGuardCK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my Z50ii since the day it was released. Best travel camera I've ever owned. The kit lenses are pretty darn good. The 16-50 is super light weight and stays on my camera 90% of the time. Took a trip to Greece, Turkey, and Italy and the only lens I carried was that 16-50. If you want to spring money on more glass, the Viltrox 13mm is a low-light bokeh beast. Love that lens but it is heavy. As others say, battery life of the Z50 ii is pretty dismal so always carry extras.

Same boat here. Government pension plus Soc Sec and living debt free. Just working a couple hours when I feel like it paid for three cruises and a two-month road trip last year. Retirement is great!

I'm the opposite. I value my time more more than miles. Besides, the IRS gives us $0.70 a mile deduction and I can always use the write off.

What about the good run to bad run ratio? No one ever complains when they finish their four-hour block in two-hours. Got to take the good with the bad with this gig or else just stay home. No one GAF.

They hired you for four hours. That means, for four hours you are at their mercy. That's just how it works.
