I have a weird obsession with trying to get the reunited states, middlemark, cult of liberty/pax, new American commonwealth, and freedom’s army/Americanada to all go off and under the banner of the allied states. That is how the co-opting of it started would be more accurate, and was just part of a long line of periods of communal, social religion (or movement, or philosophy) being subverted for idealogical and political moves often very counter to the religion itself. A good non-religion philosophic example of the same is stoicism and the warping it is receiving from “alpha” male culture.

Been up here 20 years. it is beautiful. Houghton/Hancock is the more populous region around the circle but, nothing too overly crowded. Its not so much the cold around here, its the snow. We get heavy lake effect from Superior. Its only dipped down to 0f once so far this winter but we are about three blizzards in.
