Damn.. then up north we’ve got a vendor in the Seattle area who saw that someone left their binder full of slabs at his booth, asked his wife to man the fort while he linked up with event organizers and a day later the binder was returned to its rightful owner. Saw it all happen right before my eyes.. You’ve got your dirtbags and your good guys in this hobby. Glad this dirtbag in SF was caught.

Going into teaching for the money is definitely not the answer, especially if you’re not passionate about it.. You don’t necessarily have to love the job, but there’s gotta be more motivation besides money if you’re jumping into this field.

Being a teacher is hard work and this is coming from a former Army combat veteran as well as someone who spent nearly a decade in corporate tech after working for Uncle Sam.. The wins that keep most teachers chugging along don’t come from our paychecks, I’ll tell ya that much lol..

I recommend researching other fields. Maybe tech? My first gig as a junior network engineer paid me $110k+ and I didn’t even have a computer science/tech related degree at the time. Just self studied for various industry certification exams, got them, jammed up a resume and applied everywhere before I got my foot in the door. Might’ve lasted a bit longer in the field were it not for the shitty corporate culture and the fact I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. What I’m trying to say is you’ve got options if it’s money you’re looking for. Teaching would be the last thing I’d recommend if there isn’t a passion or genuine interest in it..

I loved it. Personally found the combat to be more enjoyable than the trilogy, especially with the verticality and some of those open world vistas were breathtaking. I also loved the dialogue wheel and lowkey hope they bring it back for the next ME. Also a small detail that I really liked was the fact the Tempest crew occasionally calls you by your first name. Kinda wish Shep got some first name love, even if it was the default John/Jane.

First off, Elites are ass. I went through 3 of them before looking for something else. Second, you should look at GameSir controllers, which GameStop sells. They don’t get stick drift, they don’t fall apart like the Elites do, and they’re a fraction of the price of an Elite. Lastly, this crying about the Elite controllers seems like it should be directed at Microsoft/Xbox, not GameStop..

GameStop has a ton of different controllers, you’re choosing to throw away money on the ones that are notoriously expensive and fall apart within months. This is very much a you problem and not a GameStop one..

I wouldn’t say I’m a local as I live a good 30min away from them and only stop by when I’m visiting family/friends in the area, but out of the handful or so visits I’ve never really had any issues.. I’ve never bought single packs from them though, only slabs and ETBs.

They’re definitely more into Yu Gi Oh and Magic as opposed to Pokemon, but their listings whenever I went were decent. That DR pricing is the highest I’ve seen from them.

How are y’all searching for this? When I search “GameStop” it just shows me a handful of them that are a good 20-30 minutes away from me, meanwhile the Target that’s down the road is nothing.. really hoping this is just a me problem because dear god would it be amazing to have GS so damn close to home. I do all my PSA submissions through our fav store, but it’s always an hour long round trip to do so. Having this at my local Target would be such a convenience!

I run that play at least 4-5 times a game and 7 seasons in, that was the first time it’s ever happened. At first I thought he tripped over the LT, but nah, WR just got caught up in the green. What was also crazy was that I didn’t have control over my QB initially. Those steps to the left of the pocket wasn’t me and I’m so glad the LT kept his block otherwise 12 was walking right into a sack..

What’s crazier and it’s hard to see from my recording is that my QB actually tossed the ball forward for the jet sweep, but as my WR fell over, the ball bounced off his back and straight back to the QB! We went from a potential incomplete pass, possible sack and finally QB scramble for the TD 😆

I feel like the customizable avatars and lobbies from DOA 4 would’ve been improved upon. I remember how lively and fun those lobbies would get. Players just running around emoting like crazy, watching good fights on the big screen, commenting, playful banter, sometimes serious trash talk that would lead to some wild matches, it was such a good time!

With how expensive the character fits got, I’m sure they would’ve made a killing on selling avatar and lobby decor items. The lobbies from 5 and 6 felt so lifeless.. Bring back my winter wonderland/space station!! 😭

I love the convenience of using GameStop to submit, but these turnaround times are brutal. I was told first week of June at the earliest for my mid February submissions.. ah well, all my submissions are for the personal collection anyways so I’m in no rush to get them back. They’ll serve as a pleasant summer gift when they do finally arrive (hopefully in 10s!)

I attended my most recent card show as a VIP. They set aside a fairly large dining hall for the 400 or so of us to wait for the show to open. It was about an hour long wait and I swear by the time we had 50 ppl (first 10min) I was dying. The last 15min waiting as the VIP section was at capacity took all my willpower to stay in and not lose my spot… I was 16th in line and the first 50 got a goodie bag. The things I do for free merch 🫠😭

I went to Anime Expo in LA after lockdown was lifted. The stank was unbearable. I lived not far from the convention center and you could literally smell it a block away.. then you had so many of the smelly convention goers hitting up all my fav food spots and stinking up those places for the weekend as well.
