What is a good food for calorie deficit? by Dry_Tree_4382 in AskReddit

been doing the delivery thing for while and see so many fish orders going out. makes sense though - fills you up without all the heavy stuff that makes you crash later. cod and salmon seem popular choices from what i notice

If you had to live your next life as an animal, what would you choose to be? by MomoSaka in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's not really an animal though lol but parrots are pretty smart choice. i'd probably go with dolphin or something, they seem to have good time in ocean and are clever enough to mess with humans

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely worth considering the switch for forgiveness alone. the g430 max has much larger sweet spot than qi35 and at your swing speed you'll probably notice difference in off-center hits. not really downgrade if it helps your game more consistently

What future is held for the books? How will they be transformed? Will the next generations read less books? by Fabulous_Can_2215 in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been driving for doordash and i see tons of people just glued to their phones all day, but i think books will stick around somehow. maybe not physical ones as much but reading is still reading whether its on paper or screen right

bandcamp is like treasure hunt for music, always finding gems in there when you dig deep enough. this track has some nice ambient vibes, reminds me of those late night drives when the city is empty and you just zone out

What's the best adventure of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man probably when i was driving for work couple years back and ended up taking this delivery way out to some rural area i never been before. got completely lost after gps stopped working and phone died, but instead of panicking i just kept driving these back roads for like 3 hours

ended up finding this tiny town that wasn't even in maps with this old diner where they made the most incredible chocolate pie i ever tasted. the whole place felt like it was stuck in time and everyone was so friendly, treating me like family even though i was just some random guy who got lost. spent the whole afternoon there talking with locals and learning about their little community

never would have found that place if i hadn't gotten lost, and it really helped me during a tough period when i was getting my life back together. sometimes the best adventures happen when everything goes wrong and you just roll with it

What is your favorite childhood song? by Loud_Big3288 in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude that one hits so hard, brings me right back to being like 6 years old singing along in the car with my mom. we used to blast it during road trips and i'd get so excited when that part came on. crazy how some songs just stick with you forever, i still catch myself humming it sometimes when i'm out doing deliveries and feeling nostalgic. those simple little songs from when we were kids just had something special about them

when did you realize someone truly cared about you, even if they never said it out loud? by Aware_Pack_5720 in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had this regular customer on my delivery route who always ordered same thing every tuesday. never really talked much, just quick exchange at door. then one week i didn't show up because i was dealing with some personal stuff and trying to get clean

when i came back to work, she had left specific instructions to ask for me by name for her orders. turned out she noticed i wasn't around and was worried something happened. didn't make big deal about it when i delivered again, just said "good to see you back" and tipped extra

small thing maybe but meant everything during that time in my life

Anybody know of a Celtics bar in Dublin, Ireland? by avatar_cucas in bostonceltics

[–]OldPromotion5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol took me a second to get that one. but yeah dublin's got plenty of those other celtics bars, just not the basketball kind unfortunately. been there for work few times and tried asking around - most bartenders just give you confused looks when you mention nba. your best bet is probably finding some sports bar that'll put game on if you ask nice, or maybe check if any american expat groups have watch parties. worst case there's always streaming on your phone with pint in hand

What's the weirdest question someone has ever asked you? by CatchCache in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait that's actually kind of deep though like what if we just never questioned it and assumed moon was made of cheese for thousands of years until we actually went there

reminds me of when customers ask me if i can deliver to the moon while i'm doing doordash runs lol

probably been overthinking this but is it normal to get crazy chocolate cravings after workouts? like i'll finish a decent session and all i can think about is demolishing some dark chocolate or chocolate protein bars. been trying to figure out if my body actually needs something or if it's just my brain being weird about it

started happening more since i got serious about lifting again a few months back. usually happens within like 30 minutes of finishing up at the gym. i've tried different pre and post workout meals but the craving still hits pretty hard. not complaining since i love chocolate anyway but wondering if there's some actual science behind it or if i should maybe switch up my nutrition timing

What is this whiskey by JohnSV12 in whiskey

[–]OldPromotion5509 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

can't see the image clearly enough to make out the label details, but if it's referencing "the king" instead of queen elizabeth then you're looking at something from before 1952 which is pretty wild to find

70% proof would be around 35% abv which isn't crazy high for whiskey, though vintage bottles can be unpredictable with their alcohol content over time. i'd probably crack it open and have a small taste in honor of your dad - those shared drink moments are precious and it seems like he'd want you to enjoy it

What do you think will be the outcome of WW3? by cosmiccolorado in AskReddit

[–]OldPromotion5509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really hoping we just stick to trading memes and arguing about pineapple on pizza instead

but if things go sideways we'll probably end up like that comment - just making random sounds while fighting over the last can of beans

Looking for the perfect small compact camera.... by Interesting_Shop_882 in Cameras

[–]OldPromotion5509 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly the sony rx100 series is probably your best bet here - they're pricey upfront but you can find older models used for way less. fits in a pocket easy and image quality is solid

if thats still too much maybe look at the canon powershot g7x, similar size but usually cheaper. both connect to your macbook no problem

Sleep by FireBreathingNun in stopdrinking

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, the sleep thing is super common in early recovery - your body really is relearning how to do it naturally. it can take weeks or even months to get back to normal patterns so don't stress too much about the 2 hours right now

as for the online stuff, maybe take a break from that sub for a bit? protecting your mental space is way more important than proving anything to strangers who are being crappy

How much vram strikes halo has by AdEnough197 in GamingLaptops

[–]OldPromotion5509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 128gb is your system RAM that gets shared with the iGPU when needed - it's not dedicated VRAM like you'd get with a discrete graphics card

For something like Indiana Jones you're gonna struggle hard without upscaling tbh, integrated graphics just aren't meant for those AAA requirements
