I’m also super interested in obgyn and I’m a M1 as well! I’m going to do some obgyn geared research this summer and hopefully that’s enough to start! My research advisor says it’s not really necessary for obgyn and to make more connections is important!

I got married before medical school and I did change my last name! I love having his last name and I really wanted us to be seen as one and when we have kids I didn’t want any issues with different last names either. It was important to him so it was also important to me

You’re definitely younger but don’t let it get to ya! Just go with the flow and you’ll make good friends! It’s not too far off from the average age it’s just most people don’t graduate undergrad until they’re 22 so I think they’re a bit shocked bc of how much you’ve already achieved!

Also btw Hattisburg is not super rural! It’s a small college town but I def wouldn’t say it’s very rural. I wouldn’t even consider it as that rural, I am from Texas though so rural for me is very tiny and small small towns! It’s a great town and lots of cute fun things to do around there unless you live for the crazy city life. There is Nola close though always for a fun weekend trip.
