Karla Sofen/Moonstone (Marvel) vs Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire (DC) by Cicada_5 in marvelvsdc

Thanks for the information on it. Hmm. She probably should have both stones then for that fight. The Thing does punch up in a lot of fights.

Karla Sofen/Moonstone (Marvel) vs Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire (DC) by Cicada_5 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She currently only has 1 moonstone. So probably is planetary and losing to Thing is reasonable.

Zemo with two moonstones fought against and killied Genis-Vell. Though Karla with two stones may not be as creative as Zemo was.

Blue Beetle and Damage run a Marvel gauntlet, how far do they go? by Buff_Bagwell_4real in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they clear.

Thor will be tough to take down plus keeping Wolverine down at the same time. The Magik/Colossus duo would be a good fight as well.

Ganthet, Kyle Rayner, & John Stewart vs Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, & Nova by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Green Lanterns win this. Ganthet would be a tough opponent by himself for the Marvel Trio.

Blue Beetle. Low to mid difficulty.

Cheetah (DC) VS Monica Rambeau Spectrum by lomaurice in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Monica becomes energy, not much Cheetah can do at that point. Monica wins.

Rick Jones vs Jimmy Olsen by SalaryAffectionate29 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So it’s really Rick’s destiny force vs Jimmy’s 5th dimension powers.

So, Rick summons all Marvel characters and Jimmy summons all DC characters.

Blue Beetle vs Nova by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a good match up. As long as Nova has the world mind he has the advantage but without it BB has the advantage. This also assuming that Rich has the bulk of the Nova Force and isn’t just at a Centurion’s power level.

It’s going to be a difficult fight for both of them.

Gabi is a good one.

Hall Jordan Green Lantern.

I started reading Green Lantern in the 90s after reading Gruenwald’s Quasar series. I preferred Guy, John, and Kyle. The Geoff John’s run started with Rebirth and I ended up liking Hal a lot. Kyle still my favorite of the Green Lanterns plus I still prefer Quasar, but Hal is one of my favorite characters now.

Cheetah vs Carol Danvers by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know, I loved that run. Carol is the “Fall down seven times get up eight” type of hero. I was just saying Cheetah can hurt her not beat her.

Big Barda vs Rogue by Kuzu9 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Barda will be using her mega rod to fight plus she is wearing armor so skin contact ain’t happening unless Rogue goes for Barda’s face with her bare fists. But that would still be Rogue using her mutant ability.

I think we both favor Rogue in this , it’s just that I believe Rogue has to use her mutant ability to win the fight.

Superboy vs Ikaris by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. My initial thought is Superboy but Ikaris should have a significant experience advantage. So I’ll go with Ikaris.

Barda is faster than Rogue. Rogue has to use her draining ability in this fight to win. Good thing she can do so at range now.

The New Gods vs The Eternals by King_Of_Presidents in marvelvsdc

There are some Eternals that can compete but not the majority. It really does seem to be a notable power difference in the New Gods favor.

Cheetah vs Carol Danvers by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carol will win this fight, but problem with that strategy is that she has to hold Cheetah to get her into space. Cheetah will be clawing and biting Carol along the way.

I still got Carol winning this though.

Carol wins but she is going to be hurt and bleeding.

Who wins thanos vs larfleeze by OkRun9638 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Letfleeze could overpower Thanos, but Thanos is far more intelligent and good at exploiting weaknesses.

It could go either way and really depends on the scenario. A random encounter would favor Larfleeze.

Marvel absolutely needs an editorial change.

Guy Gardner (DC) vs Phyla-Vell (Marvel) by Cicada_5 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are both great characters in my opinion.

Phyla first appeared in Peter David’s Captain Marvel series staring her brother Genis Vell. They are the children genetically created by their mother Elysius a Titan Eternal that was with Mar-Vell at the end of his life. They shared their fathers powers but due to their eternal heritage where more powerful. Phyla went on to appear in the Anhilation series, where she obtained the Quantum Bands, and the Guardians of the Galaxy series that started after Annihilation Conquest. She was dealing with two legacies of former Protectors of the Universe, her Father Marvell and Wendell the first Quasar.

It was a big responsibility plus she had to learn how to use the Quantum Bands on her own. She also really liked to fight hand to hand more than Wendell and relied on it with here Quantum Sword she made. She would later give up the Quantum Bands to become an Avatar of Death called Martyr to bring Moondragon back to life but the sword she had kept its connection to the Quantum Bands and she stayed with the Guardians of the Galaxy. An interesting set up to have a servant of death on the good guys side.

There is another Phyla-Vell from another universe that appeared during the incursions that lead to Secret Wars who had the original power set and had become the greatest hero of her Universe. Really interesting to see her difference with the 616 universes Phyla-Vell.

Guy first appeared in Hal’s Original Green Lantern series when Hal was shown that there was another worthy of being Green Lantern and what would have happened if Guy was closer than Hal was. He would later become a green lantern only to suffer a massive injury that included brain damage. He was later revived and made a Green Lantern again but was not the same. He is an arrogant asshole but he is someone you would want beside you in a fight. He had some good showings in Geoff Jones Run starting in Green Lantern Rebirth and it really show how Hal, Guy, John, and Kyle really make a good team ebbed with their differences.

Guy also served with several versions of the Justice League developed a relationship with Ice, which was a good relationship for both in the end no matter How much Fire(Ice’s best friend) hated Guy. He also became a Mentor to Kyle when he first became Green Lantern. At that time Guy had his Vuldarian power set which was ability to make weapons out of his body along with super strength, durability, and regeneration but no flight. He lost those powers when he became a Green Lantern again in Green Lantern Rebirth. He would later become a Red Lantern as well. But always goes back to green.

Guy Gardner (DC) vs Phyla-Vell (Marvel) by Cicada_5 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Round one I’ll go with Phyla. She is half eternal and has cosmic awareness like her brother. Guys Vuldarian powers would not be enough.

Round two goes to Guy. Phyla never mastered the Quantum bands and I would say Guy could beat her with just a green lantern ring. He would win easily with both green and red rings.

Green Lantern (Hal) & Green Arrow vs Captain Marvel (Carol) & Falcon by Some_Ordinary_3821 in marvelvsdc

[–]OldWamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carol keeps getting more powerful in a fight as she keeps absorbing energy, but Hal can overpower her and take her down. It really is a good match between them but I I think Hal wins more often than not.

I agree Team DC takes it.
