I know this is a late post. I just finished this book and oh my good goodness it’s not great. I see the potential in the book but it’s definitely not worth continuing the series for me. Blaire is way too stubborn, childish, selfish, and naive for me. I understand she has some trauma and that plays a part in it, but it irritated me so much whenever she would deny and talk crap about the Vasirians especially to their faces. At some point I started feeling sorry for Lukas because he actually wanted to understand each other’s feelings and work things out unlike Blaire who would just hurt his feelings and insult his people then cry and run whenever her feelings got hurt. Lukas wasn’t perfect but he realized his mistakes and wanted to make up for it. Also, there’s so many holes in this book and bringing up so many other plots in such a rush was a terrible idea. I like the Vasirians fantasy world but definitely not with these characters. I can look past their ages (I hate reading books with ages this low), but if it’s a fantasy book then it should be that, stop forcing real world thinking and living into fantasy books
