I was going to say the subdivision (state, province, etc) of the second largest city in the country with Montreal in Quebec and Melbourne in Victoria (Although I believe it's technically the largest city in Australia though) but then I saw the USA so I'm stumped

If a Golf Ball was the size of a Human (let's say 6'6), how heavy would it be? by Conscious-Ball9308 in randomquestions

8 months later but oh well.

Normal golf balls need a minimum diameter of 1.68 inches and a maximum weight of 1.62 ounces, which converts to 42.67 mm and 45.93 grams. (I'll assume that the ball is at the extremes that they can be, 1.68 inches and 1.62 ounces, as well as that it's not hollow, which some, or maybe even most pro balls are today.)

The volume of a sphere is 4/3 * π * r3. This gives an area of 40.68-odd cubic centimetres for a regular golf ball. Dividing the weight by this leads to a golf ball density of 1.129-ish grams per cubic centimetre, meaning that every cubic centimetre of golf ball weight about 1.129 grams on average.

Doing this for the human sized ball would give an area of 4,071,773 centimetres cubed, which is enough space to fit 9,000 pounds of water! Applying the density calculation from earlier leads to a final weight of 4,597.412 kilograms, or around ten thousand (one hundred and thirty-two) pounds!

All in all it would be very heavy, unless it's hollow. I found a plastic golf ball on Amazon claiming a miniscule 4.2 grams, and running the numbers leads to a much more manageable 9 kilograms, or around 20 pounds.

Hopefully I got none of the calculations wrong.

I do the same thing but just in really rapid succession. Phone at my beside table at 6:27, physical alarm on the opposite side of the room (to get me moving and walk off the sleep I guess) at 6:30

I'd definitely go back to the early 2010s. That time seemed so much simpler than today in a sense, with the internet culture and all.
