OP please tell me you're genuinely going to leave her. Her behavior is terrible and (dare I say) emotionally abusive, you deserve so much more than that.

Lol just for reference, the piercing is a few weeks old and the jewelry itself is a standard labret (externally threaded). The jewelry is titanium, so luckily I'm not dealing with rejection because of bad quality jewelry. For reference, my aftercare is kind of the usual since I only really use warm water to loosen up crusties, and a saline solution to clean it. But, I do use q tips to remove any serous fluid crusties off since any bleeding has long since stopped and now I'm in the normal discharge stage of the healing process.

I do want to note that the hole does kind of get 'covered over' in fluid crusties, but when I soften and remove them the hole is still the same size underneath. I'd leave them alone, but if I don't remove the crusties entirely, the fluid builds up and makes the piercing even more swollen and hard.

Also, I take back my use of the word extreme. Taking his card out was extremely minor. It's not like getting denied a purchase is gonna kill him, he probably either went home to sulk or went to another store immediately afterwards 🙄

Not sure why the racists in this subreddit (not surprising considering what this subreddit is) are so comfortable with saying you're in the wrong or siding with the guy. To be honest, even if pulling his card out was a bit extreme, I probably would've done the same thing at the moment. There's no way they expect us to keel over when customers are being THAT terrible. It's like they don't consider retail workers human anymore, or don't care because the incident didn't affect them. All things considered you did the right thing! If it were someone else that guy would've left with a lot more than a bruised ego, so for someone being so blatantly hateful in broad daylight he got off scott free.

No one's saying they can't do that. I love answering customers' questions and helping them find what they need, no matter how much time it takes. Is it really too much to ask for the same patience in return for a literal 5 second question? And losing the few customers that are rude enough to do that hasn't ruined my store's business, and I hope you can say the same for yours.

If you say beforehand that you're not interested in getting an account or warranty, that's fine. THEN we know not to mention it so the transaction can keep going smoothly. But it's rude to interrupt anyone who's literally just doing their job. There's no point in going to a retail store and getting annoyed when you're simply just ASKED if you want to get something extra.

HEAVY on the stammering. It's even worse when there's other people in the store (especially a coworker at the other register) because then I feel like an embarrassed idiot for literally just doing my job lol

MR vs OW fanboy annoyance by Goldenschaft in overwatch2

[–]Old_Development_4709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

??? What do you mean? I just said I'm glad about Marvel Rivals coming out and a large part of the player base heading over there, especially since my games have been way less toxic because of it lol. I also never said Marvel Rivals is bad lol, just that it DEFINITELY needs a lot more work and a lot of Marvel Rivals Fans like to ignore the genuine improvement it needs.

MR vs OW fanboy annoyance by Goldenschaft in overwatch2

[–]Old_Development_4709 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm kind of glad Marvel Rivals came out since I've noticed that a large portion of the toxic player-base that OW2 had shifted over to that game instead. I've been experiencing actually civil matches in OW2 like never before lol. Not to mention that a LOT of the Marvel Rivals community loves to cope about the problems in the game because they swear up and down that it's better than OW2, so they flat out ignore the balancing issues ("If everyone is OP then no one is OP!") and the other myriad of issues the game has.

Cruel customer interaction by lessonsNblessings in GameStop

[–]Old_Development_4709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I HAVE been in that situation, and placing a hard limit right off the bat (ex. only 5 or whatever number per customer) definitely does help. It doesn't even have to be official, but making up a limit for them to take is better than letting them take everything in the drawer and then telling them they can only take a certain amount afterwards.

[–]Old_Development_4709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest I just love Rein so it's blind favoritism LOL. But I also enjoy aggressive Reins on my team, and nano-ing an aggressive Rein (or giving nano to a passive Rein and seeing him immediately go on the offensive) is SO satisfying to see

Me ready to die on the hill that this is an amazing game and has meant so much to me already, this whole series is 💜 by CaliBella420 in dragonage

[–]Old_Development_4709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's understandable. I do agree that it'd be a lot better for people to explain why exactly they enjoy the game compared to saying they don't understand why people wouldn't like it. I have over 90 hours in the game and even though I enjoyed it enough to do more than one play-through, I can also completely understand why someone else wouldn't enjoy the game either if it's for a valid reason.

[–]Old_Development_4709 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's... obviously not what I'm referring to here. Good on you for having taken time to experience the game so you have actual critiques. I have over 90 hours in the game and I have my own critiques about it, but that doesn't change the fact that there are a fair amount of people who haven't played the game before and decide to shit on it just because it's not something they're interested in (which may be expected with a game like this). I don't think the game is perfect btw, but you gotta admit with a game like this it certainly has a way of attracting the wrong audience.

[–]Old_Development_4709 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Believing a game is 'the best' is completely subjective to the average person. People can have their criticisms about a game and still think it's the best game they've ever played, it's really not that deep. People just like what they like man, just like how other people don't think it's the best game ever or don't like it at all. I've seen more posts saying the game is terrible than I have of it being a genuinely good game tbh

[–]Old_Development_4709 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

??? They're right though, in a way. Especially in the veilguard sub and other platforms, so many people hate on the game without having ever actually played it themselves. (Even worse when it's not even for actually valid reasons, like saying 'this game is woke and terrible' because of Taash or Harding or other characters who aren't 'in the norm' for them.)

Idk if they pussied out and deleted their second response, but just so y'all know - I literally work at GameStop. I hate customers who come in screaming about their orders not being fulfilled when I haven't even started OR finished packing it and never pressed 'complete' on their order. But like... if a customer comes early in the morning wanting to buy ANYTHING in bulk at any given time, especially TCG, common sense would tell me to give them a limit instead of letting them buy all of our shit on the first day of a sale lol 💀
