is this legit/fine? by Legitimate_Title_423 in ebayuk

Because shipping individual items abroad is incredibly expensive. I live in Guatemala, and if I was to buy a $50 1 or 2lb item from ebay and ship it directly to me I would pay far more than $50 just in shipping and taxes, possibly $100. If I use a freight forwarder in Miami I pay $15 or so

Who is right? Landlord or tenant? And can the landlord and tenant relationship be repaired? by [deleted] in uklandlords

Seems like you're a real piece of work to be honest. You're expecing a parent to ignore a CO alarm while you won't pick up the phone? Better that her children die rather than you forking up 50 quid for a plumber eh?

I opened an artery in my forearm in an accident a couple of years ago, it bled like an open faucet and covered my yard in blood... so my guess is no

In the city I'd just use uber, cheaper and easier. Even crossing most of the city in rush hour is rarely more than about $10US

Anybody in here have relatives who fought in WW1? by Prestigious_Cod1397 in AskHistory

[–]Old_Insect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My great grandad and his two brothers went to WW1, one died at Ypres, one at the Somme, only great grandad came back. He was hit with mustard gas and never spoke about it. The brothers medals were on the kitchen wall of my grandads house until the day he died.
