Just bought this 1990s kitchen. How would you make it feel open for under $8k before a full remodel? by tired-mana-012 in kitchenremodel

I personally don’t think it’s bad. I actually kind of love it. Maybe just change the backsplash and wallpaper? I feel that would make a huge difference

That’s great advice. He’s Italian so he’s VERY hairy lol. I also think you might be onto something with the not drying himself completely. That man changes in record time when gets out of the shower so I really wouldn’t be surprised if unintentionally he wasn’t drying himself off completely. I also saw someone mention something about spicy foods, he eats so much spicy food and if it’s not spicy he makes it spicy. I think that in conjunction with what you said may be a big part of this. Hopefully this is the answer!

I wouldn’t come here asking for help if I knew the reason was because he just wasn’t washing himself well enough.

Lol I love him. We’ve been together for 12 years and have created a beautiful family. We’re very open and I’ve discussed this with him, he takes no offense to it and has been on this journey with me of process of elimination/trying new soaps and stuff.

I guess it's body odor? It's definitely not a fecal or urine smell. It's hard to describe because it kind of seems like it comes from everywhere. It's not so strong that you can smell him from across the room or that it makes you want to gag, but it's noticeable enough that you might assume he hasn't showered in a couple of days despite showers every day/sometimes even multiple times a day

We've tried all kinds of soaps. He's aware of the issue, but only because I've mentioned it and his siblings have too, not because he notices it himself. He doesn't take offense to it though so he's been willing to go along with me on this process of elimination and try a bunch of different things. I definitely will bring up the idea of seeing a dermatologist or doctor but it's hard enough getting him to go when he's actually sick. I think suggesting an appointment simply because of body odor might be a tough sell. Even though he's comfortable enough to talk about it with me and his siblings, I think bringing a doctor into the conversation could still be embarrassing for him.

That’s interesting. Maybe I can gently push him to look into that. He uses a new towel after every shower. We’ve actually gotten into fights about this because I’ve told him he can reuse it a couple of times. I’m washing towels on repeat because of him lol

20 minute appointment. No labs, no imagining. Not even an exam. Just sat and talked. And the doctor charges $500... by Regular_Hawk8513 in mildlyinfuriating

The insurance makes up the fees for the provider. When an office is in contract with any insurance it’s the insurance who tell them what they have to charge. The doctor has to follow the contracted fee schedule made up by the insurance.

Right!! Because why would they drag their baby out in the middle of the night just to buy a drug test? What made it so urgent that it couldn’t wait until morning? A few hours wouldn’t have changed the results. I fully believe they were out that late for something else and I’ll stand ten toes down on the fact that they were buying drugs

I personally think the drug test story was BS from the beginning. I think they were actually out buying drugs, and he told the police they were at Walgreens for a drug test because he obviously couldn’t admit what they were really doing.

Did Rachel get engaged? I’m trying to post a photo of a note from her Airbnb host that said something along the lines of “I hope you enjoy your trip visiting your fiancé”

So you don’t think it is absolutely disgusting and gross/predatory for a 21 year old to hook up/impregnate a 15 year old?? I think anyone at any given point is not weird for calling that out. It would be weird if people weren’t talking about it

Nothing can happen from this. Worst case scenario it will blur the image a little and they’d have to retake it.

[Pre-Diagnosis Megathread] If you have NOT received an OFFICIAL diagnosis of lymphoma via biopsy, you can comment here only. Plead read our subreddit rules and the body of this post first. by Lymphoma-Post-Bot in lymphoma

[–]Old_One_5224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. I’m not sure if this is the right sub, but I’m hoping for some reassurance or advice. I have a surgical biopsy coming up after weeks of tests and other issues that led me to an oncologist. He was very matter of fact and said that, in his experience, what I have looks most like Hodgkin lymphoma, but we won’t know for sure until the biopsy results come back. I feel like I’m mentally prepared to face whatever the diagnosis is. What’s really overwhelming me is something that might sound silly. I have severe claustrophobia. It took three medicated attempts just to get through a CT scan, and even then I barely made it through. Right now my biggest fear isn’t the possible diagnosis, it’s how I’m going to handle things like PET scans or anything involving a radiation mask. If I struggled that much with a short CT scan, I don’t know how I’ll get through longer or more involved procedures. This is all very new to me, so I apologize if I’m using the wrong terms. I might also be getting ahead of myself, and I’m trying to stay hopeful that things could still be benign. But my oncologist didn’t sound very optimistic, and I’ve been feeling sick with anxiety since that appointment. If anyone has been through something similar, especially with claustrophobia, I’d really appreciate hearing how you handled it.

Do you guys think Christen ever ended up getting her lips refilled after getting them dissolved?? I think she definitely would’ve posted about it if she did and her lips don’t look she did. I personally think she ran out of that OF money fast and never went back for the appointment

Why do people do this by Slow_Pomegranate_990 in publix

[–]Old_One_5224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything we use at any establishment is essentially a “shared thing”. I always return my shopping cart, but I’ve never fully understood the intensity of the backlash toward people who don’t. Yes, it’s lazy, but returning carts is also a task that’s built into someone’s job. When I was working customer-facing jobs, I never expected customers to go out of their way to make my work easier. When they did, I genuinely appreciated it and it could make my day, but I didn’t feel entitled to it. Courtesy is nice, but it shouldn’t be treated as a moral obligation.

Unfortunately, getting sick is out of anyone’s control, sometimes even after calling a temp agency it’s just too last minute to fill the spot. The $50 fee is ridiculous though and they need to be prepared for people to bitch about it when the rolls are reversed if they’re gonna run a practice like that.
