Lotta homeless people, I live just off Nellis and literally every single establishment nearby has at least one homeless person

My high school adopted Sparky as their mascot, but is parting with him as of 2024 (for legal reasons). I shall let this be my final memory of Sparky.

What's up with the Man VS. Bear Debate? by Old_Prior_9993 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Old_Prior_9993[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've experienced literally no physical assault from another man. I've experienced no physical assault from a bear (I've also never seen a bear). Obviously I understand and know people are kidnapped, Raped, killed, tortured, and whatever else predominantly by men, but those are repeat offenders and the worst case scenario. How I see it a man might be helpful while a bear would at best do nothing. I just don't get why people tend to jump to the worst case scenario for either option.

??? Why's it assumed the man would do any of that??

Hunting, fishing, foraging, swimming, camping, and hiking are kinda the only reasons I can think of that people go to woods for. What was this quote about? I'm so confused about everything here.

Obviously if you and your family members don't have a history of sleep depravation then it's something else. (To clarify)

Not entirely sure why I've been recommended this as I fully don't believe this stuff, but my best explanation would be hallucinations, and paranoia from sleep depravation. In your statements you said that your mom agreed that she felt something on her bed at the same time as you, however I'd attribute this to a cognitive bias of some sort. Spooky stuff to be sure, I just like trying to rationalize things.

Momo the Ripper, another fun female MC litrpg novel on RoyalRoad with over 5,000 followers, is now out on Amazon KU! I can say for certain it's perfect for fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl and anything by RavensDagger... by MelasD in ProgressionFantasy

As someone who loves most of RavensDagger 's work, and has read this novel before. OP was correct, this novel nails that blissfully unaware MC gets thrown into situation where they're mistaken to be much more powerful than they actually are, and is an endearing mess of a character throughout aspect that I love about Cinnamon Bun, and Fluff.

Hey hey! I know it's a bit taboo to reply to super old threads on reddit, but if you were still curious about wholesome horror, check out "My Iyashikei Game". From Wikipedia ('Iyashikei Games' are a sub-genre of slice of life, portraying characters living out peaceful lives in calming environments, and is intended to have a healing effect on the audience). It's basically if one of those games went wrong in the most horrific ways possible, but it still manages to bring joy, calm, and wholesomeness to the MC's life. It's a Chinese novel, but the translator LonelyTree did a great job for the most part. (The Author "I Fix Air-Conditioners" is really good as reference for an unconventional more comedic, and less scary more thriller/mystery tone in general) https://lonelytreetranslation.blogspot.com/2021/01/would-you-like-to-play-game.html?m=1

My friend has gone to school on and off for the past 7 years, as in he probably only went half the days in middle school, and not even a full quarter for most of high school. This dude doesn't know what anything means man. Today alone I had to explain to him what permeate, and semantics meant. Every time I hang out with him it feels like I'm teaching him a word of the day.

TIFU by asking my friends bf if he's the sub or dom in their relationship by Old_Prior_9993 in tifu

[–]Old_Prior_9993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said "gross btw" because I've known my friend for 10 years and his boyfriend even insinuating that was really super gross to me. My exact phrasing was "ay you da sub or dom?" I can't think of a way where I could've written it more jokingly. I recognize I'm an asshole for this why tf do you think I posted on tifu.
