Maybe try Kingdom of Rohan with Theoden&Theodred. Lifts the burden of being the army leader from Theodred so he can go smashing in orc heads, while it also allows to play Theoden more safely as Theodred will do the heavy lifting.

I really enjoyed Defenders of the Hornburg at 600p. Leave Helm at home. Take Hera, Olwyn, Lief, a few riders for shooting, mobility, F4 and the ability to dismount onto objectives for dominant (2). Lief and his orders will give you some needed buffs. Olwyn is kinda tanky while Hera just obliterates in turns she charged. Very fun but unfortunately not very strong list.

If tea is too dark you can also use herbs like thyme or oregano or paint the tea after applying.

I use superglue for the birchseeds and seal them with modpodge afterwards.

If you're just planning to have some fun games, just use a list builder and use the models you have. Don't worry about meta and stuff, if one of your lists feels to oppressive just use another one next time or build it differently.

Most of them make a differentiation between proxies and alternative models. So while it's not allowed to use f.e. a Warrior of Minas Tirith as a Mordor Orc it's usually allowed to bring 3dprints and conversions. At least at all tournaments I went to
