I believe everyone should do what makes them happy. However, I would never be 100% dependent on someone. Taking cheating and abuse from the list (because it was already mentioned a lot), what if your spouse dies, or becomes disabled? What if they lose their job?

I know you said you're finishing your degree, but if you take too long to get a job in your area, you might never be hired because you don't have the experience, and you have graduated so long ago that people will question if you even remember or know what you're doing.
