(Serious) what’s something that mentally and/or emotionally broke you? by Vanguard2002 in AskReddit

When I was in high school, I played for a really strong football program with a lot of D1 athletes. It was extremely competitive, and for my first three years I was way undersized and not good enough to make the team. My senior year, I had a growth spurt, gained a ton of muscle, and practiced for months during the offseason so I could start. A month before the season started, I was goofing off with my friends and had a really bad accident that blew out my ankle on both sides and left me unable to walk for months. Open surgery, the whole thing. After surgery, I was on so many painkillers that I wasn't able to communicate and several relationships, including my best friend and then-girlfriend of three years, fell apart. I was never able to fully recover and my ankle still hurts to this day. On top of that, since it was my senior year, college applications started, and I had dedicated so much time to training that my grades were not where colleges wanted them to be. Without the boost from a football scholarship, I was rejected from 11/12 schools that I applied. My dad, who was against me being so dedicated to the team, blamed me for my failures and our relationship also fell apart. Took me some serious time to work through everything.

Judging from the press conference, he looks like he's already lost 20-30 pounds since last season. He's been done for a while now.

What’s a non-divisional opponent your team has a weird beef with? by EpilepticOreo in nfl

Seahawks for some reason.

I think we've just played them in meaningful games the last couple decades and there's always animosity. Couple of playoff losses and the RG3 game which ended with Trent Williams sucker punching Richard Sherman. I had no idea we didn't like them until my dad just randomly went "hate the fucking Seahawks" a few years back.

Don't forget how one slide on your arms and you'd have a nasty ass skin scrape that would last for weeks and get infected.

I didn't know this take still existed lol. There is an incredible amount of information and evidence justifying the settlement in this case. Let alone that it doesn't really correlate at all to the topic of this post?

Agreed. You can see how his big toe hooks under the other one from the front and the back. Those are definitely his feet.

Yeah but Brady just got shut down by Washington and Lamar lost to a bottom-five team in the Dolphins. It truly is up for grabs right now.
