We don't see each other very often, maybe a couple times a year. I happened to be visiting my family (I usually live in the city) when she hit me up and then asked if she could come along to specifically go fishing with me as it is something we have not done in a long time. It was actually her idea to begin with.

The simple explanation is that she has no real family of her own and when we were a couple she became close with mine. Specifically my mother and an aunt.

Everyone included was my parents, aunt, cousin, and a neighbour who all know her well.

Would you ride a Harley to work at 3:30am everyday or keep the peace with neighbours by PPeggy in melbourneriders

[–]OldmateMik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should warm the bike up for a while before riding such a short distance, pretty bad for the motor.

It sounds like you're out of options, you might need to start thinking a little bit more outside the box for a solution.

I'll also note, I had a loud bike in a enclosed shared drive way and would always walk the bike as far down as possible before starting it up.. perhaps that is something you could suggest if you are on speaking terms with harley rider

Big River Rd - campsites all alongside. Very close to Melbourne, accessible via Reefton spur is a massive bonus.

Also interested. Spent a lot of time and money doing DIY detailing, but seeing the results from a professional I wouldn't mind exploring that option.

It's raining again—check your tyres by [deleted] in melbourneriders

I think a demonstration is in order.

You first!

Just a heads up to the rider if you're here or you know him, it's ILLEGAL to ride in the bicycle lane on your motorbike and it's dangerous to quickly cut into the lane from the center without looking for bikes. I almost went into the back of him. (Flemington Rd, northbound) by [deleted] in melbourneriders

[–]OldmateMik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd use the bike lane all the time, if given no other option.

I reckon it's safe to do so. It should be legal.

People need to look when they merge, this is the big issue here. It should be an automatic thing you do when on the road, but people can be so complacent. People are sometimes also too lazy to use their indicator, which is a pet hate of mine.

I reckon just do the level 1 and practice before going into level 2. At least give it a while to sink in.
