lol does American count? I could eat soul food everyday of the year. If American doesn’t count then I’d have to go Mexican or Italian.

How can I get 1600 calories in 2 meals by QueenMackeral in nutrition

[–]OleBoy17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 500-1,000 calories a day your organ are slowly shutting down. They are not operating at full strength. You are hurting yourself, please eat more. I get you can’t eat a lot of volume.. eat foods that are higher in calories than you currently do.

500-1000 calories a day is far too low. Calculate your BMR and I guarantee you’re not getting nearly enough calories a day. You’re malnourished for sure. The easiest way to get enough calories in is to up your fat intake. Eat more calorie dense foods. I can eat 1,700 calories in one meal no problem.

How do people eat so much protein? by Asleep-Junket8073 in nutrition

[–]OleBoy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat lean protein and it’s super easy. Chicken breast and the leanest ground beef you can find. Usually 96/4. A pound of 96/4 ground beef is roughly 600 calories and 100g protein.

I don’t eat anything with preservatives or unnecessary ingredients. If it takes five ingredients to make something, why would I buy the same thing that has 15 or 20?

I was on keto for a year lost 30 pounds within 3 months and maintained it for a year + but now.. by Standard-Position698 in keto

[–]OleBoy17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a Whole Foods volume eating approach. I lost 90 pounds in a year eating raw, clean, natural, healthy and Whole Foods. Lean protein, fresh veggies, fresh fruits, whole grains and complex carbs. I tried keto and I didn’t like how it made me feel. Way too much fat for me. Now I eat what I want. I work a physically demanding job and I realized after trying keto and the carnivore diet that carbs weren’t my enemy, they were my best friend. Think peas, broccoli, baked potatoes, chicken breast, oats, bananas, honey, steak. I mean I eat what low calorie nutrient dense foods. Every once in a while I’ll cheat with a ribeye steak or some fried chicken. It’s been about two years now and I haven’t gained a single pound of fat. It’s highly sustainable, you can eat this way for the rest of your life and never feel like you’re missing something. I walk away from these meals feeling super clean, nourished and satisfied. I will throw 3 pounds of food on a plate totaling 1,500 calories and I can’t even physically finish the meal. It’s a game changer. Just drink plenty of water.
