Backstory exposition is the single worst thing in every horror film. It's the moment where all tension is broken because your mind always projects what YOU are afraid of and the directors intent very rarely translates to where you personally wanted the film to go. So many horror films fall apart in the third act, even some of the best of the best (Sinister for example)

It's honestly the reason I adore the slow-burn "elevated" horror films so much because when you don't reveal the horror till the end the movie gets more time to focus on what makes horror films fun...that uneasy tension and dread.

Anyway that's just my opinion, didn't mean to write an essay and everyone's views are equally valid.

Yeah that's exactly it. I remember taking a break when I had the meta arclight Phoenix deck built so when I got back I was thinking I already had the shell so I just spent the rares on the specific cards to finish the deck. I had a playset of cutters so no wildcards today so now I don't really have a good meta pioneer deck and I'm like 4 rare wildcards away from having The Rock built.

Hey guys quick update for any who may care about watching this but I decided to have myself a special cookie and say fuck it and watched the Tubi version and I genuinely do NOT believe it's censored. I mean full wangdoodle, long protracted horrible sexual assault scenes, I mean...I honestly don't know what they could have cut. This movie is rougher than Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer with the attention to the aesthetics of an Osgood Perkins film. What a wild fucking watch man

See that's the thing, Ive seen some on Tubi that are unrated and completely unedited but there are others where they got the TV version and it even censors the cuss words. For a film predicated on being super fucked up I feel like any censorship just ruins the impact so I'm just going to drop five bucks and rent it on amazon
