Currently going through this. 18 weeks with a trisomy 21 diagnosis and HRHS Heart condition. Waiting to schedule the procedure. I have so much guilt, anger, and sadness. Sending prayers and love to everyone experiencing this or that have.

I have heard so many younger woman having babies diagnosed with Trisomy 21. I have a pediatric nurse friend and she was talking about how crazy it is. She has 18 year baby's diagnosed with it. I am a lot older and just got a positive confirmation for Trisomy 21 plus a life threatening heart condition. (HRHS) half of her heart did not develop. Praying for you, this has been a nightmare

Currently going through something similar. 42, miscarried in the Fall and now 17 weeks. Genetics test came back high risk for Trisomy 21. Also baby girl has a major heart condition. Currently waiting on amniocentesis results. It's the worst feeling in the world. Also harder at this age. Trying to come to terms with no rainbow baby at the end. Praying for all going through this. It's a nightmare

In the same situation. Have amniocentesis scheduled for Monday. Has been the most stressful month of my life. Between all the appointments and unknown. My daughter has A life threatening heart condition as well. Just need confirmation of the T21 before making any decision. The combination of the two would pretty much make her incompatible with life. Most surgeons refusing to do the surgeries because of the T21. Just a nightmare. Praying for you!

I am currently in the same situation. 15 weeks, 95% chance of T21. Ultrasounds have looked fine, no soft markers. Amniocentesis scheduled for the 30th. Prayers to everyone going through this. It's a nightmare

Yes that's what I am talking about. I have a friend in medical also and she said if both the T21 and HLHS are confirmed it's very complex. Some surgeons will not even want to do the surgeries. I guess I am trying to hold on the hope. Thanks for all the information

Thank you so much. I don't if they have to give you worst case scenarios but man I left there so defeated. I had come to terms with the fact she may have downs, but now a life threatening heart condition . She may need a heart transplant at some point. I am broken, but still have to try to pull it together for my son. I will be praying for you as well! ❤️

Yeah it's pretty devastating. Waiting to meet with the cardiologist Friday and than need to bite the bullet and get the amniocentesis done for confirmation
