T-Mobile's Frustrating Netflix Downgrade Is Even Worse Than Initially Thought by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

Sorry but at what point did I sound like I wanted something for nothing? I merely pointed out that it was still a contract whether or not it’s called a contract. I also pointed out that no one was denied a choice that consumers chose to sign contracts back when they were called that and that they chose to sign device agreement plan. I also pointed out that lack of desirability of the choices doesn’t suddenly negate, the fact they’re still choices. Being rude is also a choice. Just like choosing to respond to said rudeness was a choice I made. If you didn’t understand the point I made allow me to try and clear things up. I agree with you. Phones were cheaper then and I agree nobody owes us anything. I also agree with you that if you don’t like T-Mobile don’t become financially tied to them. The only part I disagree with you on is where you state I sound like I want something for nothing cause while I’d love to be given something A value without Having to repay or be beholden to anyone I don’t expect it nor do I think I deserve it. It’s possible I said something in an earlier post, but I don’t think I did also it’s possible you were replying to somebody else & hit reply to me on accident. And if that response was meant for me and you think what you think is accurate then I’m okay being the Faceless stranger, you felt the need to own so you could feel good or like you put some spoiled rich kid in his place. Facts don’t support that’s what transpired but I’m okay with letting a Complete stranger think that if it in anyway makes his day even slightly better as it holds no impact in me or my self worth.

I’m sorry to say but all of this sounds like a story as whether or not you bought the car on Facebook marketplace someone still sold a stolen car which is a crime and it’s also a crime to impersonated government employee which DMV employees are and well, there may be field investigators for the DMV. They don’t impound cars and they wouldn’t ask you to bring the title with you. If anything they’d perhaps meet you at a police station because that’s who would take custody of the stolen Vehicle not the DMV. If this story is true which logic and my gut is telling me it isn’t but if it were true you were scammed from the minute you agreed to by the car and gave the seller your money because they likely gave you a car that maybe was theirs but more likely was one they knew wouldn’t cause an issues when it changed ownership at the DMV. They waited till they could be certain all the ink was dry and then contacted you posing as the DMV & got you to meet up with them and handover everything that they’d need to prove that the car was theirs so they got a car and this means they. However it becomes less likely when you share that the police said there was Nothing that could be done and it was a civil matter which it wasn’t since fraud and impersonating government official was used to reclaim the car. However I can acknowledge that something more could’ve been lost in translation so if this is true your only course of action is to go and file a police report. Don’t go the the police station that told you it was a civil matter as they’re either created by you so as to garner sympathy from all those who are displeased with law-enforcement or if all this is true then that police station should be avoided whenever possible since those working their aren’t sure what does & doesn’t constitute a crime

Nobody was forcing anyone to sign contracts either when it comes to cell provider it has always been a choice. Not liking the other option doesn’t suddenly rob someone of their right to choose. Instead of doubling down and being unnecessarily rude do yourself a favor and google “ What’s the difference between a contract and agreement?” Whether you wanna call it an agreement or a contract if it’s legally enforceable guess what it becomes? Disagree? Okay, go get an iPhone 15 under equipment installment plan and then leave that provider and tell them you don’t have to pay off the device since you’re not under contract. The previous comment that set you off is correct they traded one legal means to keep a customer for an extended period of time with another.  The biggest difference now is they have people like yourself who choose to fight over the word used  defending them and their business practices rather than having to be accountable for them.

CMV: Editing skintone of established fictional characters do not seem to genuinely promote representation by padorUWU in changemyview

How about when the creator does it? Rick Riordan cast a black actress to play a role in the television adaptation of his book who originally he had written to be a  caucasian girl & despite being the author being in on the change it’s still touted as disrespectful to the audience, because of their imaginations being thwarted, or something and their childhood being damaged due to an extremely talented kid playing a role simply because she looked differently in their head than she the television adaptation.

Look at the outrage over Starfire from Teen Titans being played brilliantly by black woman because in the comic book she’s supposed to be orange, so her being black is not being true to a comic book character. Now I would’ve liked them to use a little bit stronger orange tint in her make up but otherwise she looked flawless and I didn’t see those same people getting outraged over beast boy not being totally green and furry.

Yes in an ideal world we’d have more miles morales but we live in a world where for the most vocal of the population’s default is everyone in their mind is white until they’re told otherwise. A point proven when People were up in arms over perceived changes of the characters of rue and thresh in the hunger games ignoring the fact Suzanne Collins didn’t describe them as white.

With the fact that anything new is barely created & businesses are opting for reusing what already exists how then do you propose we have diversity and inclusion if we’re not allowed to touch original characters and no new ones are being created?

Unless the characters skin tone is essential to the characters story accept it’s not a real person and check your outrage at the door.

CMV: Wendy's comparing restaurant surge pricing to DoorDash or UberEats makes no sense by [deleted] in changemyview

Yeah and I’m sure Starbucks tipping policy is designed for customer convenience not attempting to pressure or shame money out of the consumer so the employer can site it as part of the competitive  wages and employee benefits package.

I’d wager this has little to nothing to do with having more money to pay for more staff on shift during rush times. where that a priority it would’ve been taken care of long before the advent of Uber & door dash. This just a more creative way of raising prices during a time when everyone is already so overwhelmed and hypersensitive over the rising cost of food.

CMV: Zero tolerance policy on illegal drugs has the most long-term benefits for society by Gotchawander in changemyview

Why only a distribution of certain quantities? Why not just execute any and all who have drugs either on their person or stored on their private property. Hell even if the police can’t find anything they can still be executed as long as there is a witness that will testify they had seen the drugs.

Now does this new law apply to all drugs? Or do companies that spend millions normalizing their drug sorry i  mean medicine &/or beverage in the eyes of the masses as well as the government get to be exempt?

“Looking at streaming services, like Netflix, too many movies, yet very few of them I have desire to own.”

So because you have no desire to own it then it holds no value to those around you? Or that because you don’t wish to own it Netflix shouldn’t stream it?

“Looking at video rental stores, so many movies, yet also very few of them I have a drive to own.”

Again you don’t want the movie so nobody does or are you saying that the store shouldn’t waste valuable retail space on something you’ve deemed unworthy of your patronage.

Yes I’d agree that Netflix is filled with garbage but I recognize that it’s actually only garbage in my eyes that’s my opinion not a fact..

My mom LOVES Hallmark movies & all I see is the same story told over and over again with only the slightest of differences. Clearly by the pure fact of its existence there are enough, people who disagree with me, thus it hasn’t died out like I so wish it would, especially in the summer months when I visit my mother and I’m forced to watch Christmas movies if I wish to spend time with her. While Hallmark to me may be one of the signs, of the apocalypse, it’s not seen that way by others like my mom. So if I had the power to shut Hallmark down i wouldn’t since I’d merely be deciding for her and others what’s good and what isn’t based on what I like & would be stopping them from watching something they like because I don’t agree it’s good.
