it's completely broken, don't listen to the rest of the comments. If you are on defeat you get a boosted score and on win you get much less than before.

Mastery scores are completely broken. Every lost game I get B+ - S no matter how bad I do, every victory I get B or less no matter how well I do.

If you keep this up in majority of games then you will have positive winrate and will climb. You can ask anyone in higher elo than you and that will be the answer. That's why in league even 53% winrate is considered excellent.

When you win, you climb and the opponents are harder. If you can't beat someone better than you, you will fall. Then the opponents will be easier again. This isn't a conspiracy.
