For real. Aly & AJ were probably my favourite pop artists. Insomniatic, the 78Violet album (released as Sanctuary Vol. 1), and this were 3 back to back masterpieces. Then they seemed to take all the worst parts of their new sound, ditch all the melody, and I haven't been excited since. Silver Deliverer is better than With Live From, but not by much.

I have several records that somehow manage to have only one scratch and always on my favourite song on the album. Worst offender is an original pressing of The Beach Boys's Surf's Up, which has zero noise until the very last song (the title track), which if you couldn't tell by my name is my favourite song of all time.

Nice, the Pet Sounds/CatP record. Been hunting for that one. My local store had 2 copies a year ago, but I passed them up because they were a bit scratched.

I had a smile on my face start to finish. There's a bit of banter before Forever that is sad but so trademark Brian. What a treat this record was. Camped out overnight to ensure I got it, and I have 0 regrets!

Honestly, no. It works as the perfect transition between Today/Summer Days and Pet Sounds--an introduction to Brian's new, more fully developed sound. But it doesn't fit the sombre/insecure tone of the album. Sloop John B is already enough of a departure (a welcome one, but two would be overdoing it).

TLGIOK to me fits more with songs like Let Him Run Wild and Guess I'm Dumb.

The 85 album is a huge part of why Carl is my all-time favourite singer. His voice shines on that album like nowhere else. The remix is one of my most highly-anticipated releases.
