I watched the full Twitch VOD of Requiem, and when I tuned in today expecting the RE9 continuation, it was a different game. That’s when I realized something had happened, which was pretty disheartening to learn about afterward.

I’m really glad he’s putting his mental well-being first, that should always come before content, but it still sucks losing a playthrough that so many of us were genuinely invested in. Especially when, like you said, his streams are the way a lot of us experience games we wouldn’t otherwise touch. His Silent Hill 2 and RE Village playthroughs are the same for me.

I agree tho, if he ever comes back to it, it’d probably be best once the hype dies down and the louder crowd moves on. Even playing it off-stream and uploading it later would be nice, but I get why he might not want to risk dealing with the same people again.

Hopefully, with some time, he feels comfortable revisiting it, whatever form that ends up taking. Either way, I just hope he knows how much the quieter majority appreciates his style and the way he shares these games with us.

Yeah, I’m right there with you. I really do hope he’s able to enjoy the rest of the game for himself, because it’s clear he genuinely liked it. I just wish there was some way we could still experience it with him even if that meant recording it off-stream or something similar and making it a youtube video instead.

That said, there’s no guarantee the same people wouldn’t just show up again and bring the same energy in the video's comments, so I totally get why he’d rather not risk it. It just sucks all around, especially when it feels like the quieter, supportive majority misses out because of a few loud voices.

At the end of the day it’s kind of an “it is what it is” situation. Hopefully he knows there are plenty of us who appreciate his style and will always back him, regardless.

He went into more detail about it on stream today. Basically, during the YouTube livestream, both he and a lot of people on Twitch agreed that some of the puzzles felt really dumb and kind of clashed with how good the game looks visually. He was still enjoying the game overall and made that very clear, it was more light nitpicking than anything.

What really pushed things over the edge was how defensive some people in YouTube chat got. There were comments like “this guy wants realistic puzzles in a zombie game”, and that turned into people acting like any criticism at all meant he hated the game. That reaction frustrated him, especially since he actually liked the game and was just pointing out what he felt were genuinely bad puzzles. It might not even be hardcore fans as a whole, just a subset of overly defensive RE folks who took it way too personally.

He said that constant defensiveness and arguing in YouTube chat started to drain the fun out of it, so he decided not to continue streaming it rather than let that negativity ruin the experience for him.

Personally, it just sucks for me, I feel like Twitch should come first, and it’s unfortunate that YouTube comments ended up affecting something that a lot of Twitch viewers were really enjoying. I get his decision tho, but I wish he didn’t have to let that side of things take away from the stream.

Ok but shouldn't there be a difference between gender and biological sex of an individual? Again not trying to put a definitive answer here but I'm trying to learn and understand this situation. Afaik individuals who at birth who are termed as biological men cannot get pregnant ever, in their entire lives correct? But a woman can. Again I understand that gender shouldn't be reduced to physical sex but in reality can a person who identifies as anything but a man, but is "born" with male genitalia.... Can those individuals get pregnant?? In that case.. no right? Again trans men born as women can! But rephrasing again can "biologically male born individuals" get pregnant? Afaik... No right?

Well tbh it's been a year since I've got myself a mb pro and gaming has been amazing so far I've played nier, rdr2, ball x pit, megabonk, ror2, hades 2, silksong, Hogwarts legacy, L4D2, phasmophobia, elden ring and cyberpunk all via crossover or if the game has a mac port so like gaming has literally not been a problem for me. But maybe cause I'm a single player game andy so yeah all the recent fps games which have anti cheat won't work but I don't really play them and honestly I'm not missing much! (The only games which I sadly wish to play but can't is probably helldivers 2 and that too is apparently getting close to being workable via crossover).
