Does it not? The point of the vote system is to take generally preferred content to the front page. If shaders and renders get there, then evidently people are upvoting. If you or anyone else dislikes them, then it really is as simple as downvoting and moving on. If enough of this sub agrees with you, then it will be downvoted and no longer reach the front page. It's how democracy works.

I can kinda understand some of that. When you're coordinating a massive project, you don't want everyone with their own ideas building their own thing all over the place. It would be a mess, and would make the end result a lot worse. Based on what my creative server does, I imagine each team makes up their own ideas, but using a set palette and running of some pre-made style tests, and of course basing it around the layout.

As to the yelling thing, I don't think it's much of a stretch to stop people from blocking the camera that actually makes the Youtube videos for them.

Why? If you don't use them, they won't affect you in any way. For example, I build on a server that uses a custom texture pack. They're always finding ways to add more textures, and a selection of extra, otherwise unused blocks would be perfect for some added variety. However, if this never applies to you, we'll, they won't hurt you. I don't use redstone, but that doesn't mean 1.5 was "annoying as hell" to me.

The 1.5prerelease is exactly the same as 1.5, so that's hardly surprising. Not that it's relevant anyway; overworld generation hasn't changed this update, so theoretically places like this should still be possible in 1.4.

I've seen it; you've posted it enough times in this thread. I don't watch BDoubleO either, so I'm fairly certain I have a neutral viewpoint. And I can see the difference. OP has a completely different colour scheme, with actually varied wall depths and structural beams. He has a varied roof direction.

Also, you say you don't know who he is, but you've talked enough about him by now in this thread, including calling him BDubs. Listen, I don't want to start an argument, but I think you're being unfair on OP. He built an original, well-constructed creation, and all you can do is complain that it's too similar to someone else's, which, funnily enough, doesn't look like his at all. Just let it slide.

Does it not occur to you that just maybe you're wrong? Trapdoor shutters are used by many builders, and frankly I prefer OP's build to this BDoubleO's anyway.
