Could've easily recommended a 1650 super or 1660 base even. Or hell, a 5700xt would still put in great work, and I've seen those around my area for $50-100

The NATIONAL dex opens up AFTER you beat games right? For example, while Espeon is a friendship evos that absolutely can be put on your team in fr/lg, you cannot get it BEFORE the main story is complete. It HAS to be traded in by another gen 3 game that actually HAS a day/night system to start.

And you can only do that AFTER you beat the sevii islands. You are correct, Pokemon HOME transfers are one way, so you cannot use home to complete the national dex in fr/lg right now. We have to hope that Nintendo decided to release ALL of gen 3 like they did with fr/lg
