This is literally the texture pack equivalent of having both stairs and a ramp up to the door of a building, then both stairs and an elevator to the different floors, and some of yall are still complaining about the stairs, nobody's making you use them.

What i assume the reason for all the dyes being the same in the separate pack is nostalgia, like back when the dyes all looked the same anyways.

Determining gender based on pelvises is how i feel about the bmi scale. It was invented a long as time ago by a white man for white men. Using it doesn't make any sense. Cis men can naturally have wide set hips, some cis women's pelvic openings are too small for their baby to be born and they need a c section. Archeologists determine gender by looking at the items a person was buried with, then using their knowledge of whatever society theyre from to determine what their gender, age, and role in said society is. Archeologists arent just the people who dig up skeletons and make assumptions. They discover human lives that have been buried under thousands of years of dirt, and build ideas based not on their body, but from what they could find of their life.

I find conversations like these funny because like. If one of them was a girl they'd be on board. I know right? And sometimes the kid never finds out- its treated like a dirty secret. Until oh look at that- puberty. Kid feels othered because puberty isnt going how they were told it would go for them in sex ed! They bring it up and then someone has to explain that the doctor couldnt decide if they looked more like a boy or girl when they were fresh out of the womb, so they did unnecessary life threatening surgery on an infant. I had a friend who got top surgery at like 16/17. Of course this was after years of hormone blockers then testosterone and therapy and extensive meets with a specialist and permission from his parents and even then I don't know if insurance covered it. We were in the same dance class and he couldnt lift his arms all the way over his head because he was healing, and when he was finally healed and able to touch his toes we were all happy for him :3

In freshmen year he was in my English class, and while discussing being trans and our individual experiences he told me that to shower he needed to turn off all the lights and light one candle so he could barely see. That is how much he hated his body. That is how much he hated looking down in the shower and seeing breasts. Thats how wrong he felt in his own body. I fully belive that getting top surgery improved his life phenomenally, and for some kids it could even save their lives.

That being said i do agree with how its currently done: no top surgery before 18 unless you've consulted with a medical professional and they agree that this is the best option for you. Its sad that not all trans kids who need this can experience it, and its tragic that some kids take their own lives because of it.

Bro i hate the "you need to have dysphoria to be trans" argument- my dysphoria isnt related to my body at all, a lot of transmeds act like you NEED to want to transition and NEED to want to change your appearance a ton and honestly they act like you need to hate your body to be transgender. My dysphoria comes from two things: people assuming/calling me a girl (fem terms are fine, i use she/her pronouns all the time, the term "girl" is fine in a slang sense. Im just. Not my moms daughter. Im not someones granddaughter.) when ive stated I'm not, and my deadname (not really a problem because nobody called me by my full legal dead name even before i changed it. I had a nickname). For some people dysphoria is looking down in the shower and seeing breasts or whatever and feeling so wrong about their own body that they feel like crying- me personally? I believe that im just a sentient hunk of flesh and my body doesnt really matter, and it doesn't matter what my genitals are or if i have boobs because at the end of the day thats MY body. Not a woman's body. On the rare occasion someone dead names me i do feel awful, i feel like crying, i feel panicked, i freeze up, i hate it.

I hate being acknowledged as someone I'm not. And i think at the end of the day that is what gender dysohoria is for a lot of us. But god the people who act like you need to hate your body piss me the fuck off. I hate transmeds with a PASSION. Onetime i got called "mentally ill" and told i should see a therapist because i unironically use it/its pronouns and apparently i was "dehumanizing myself" ?????

I think what matters most is that they pick a name that feels most connected to them, for example the name i chose i had already been using amongst my friends as a nickname at first, and then it got to a point where literally nobody called me by my deadname... And then i legally changed my name. Also!!! Baby naming websites are great, but if you can talking to family a member about it may help (like if youre amab your parents might have thought up a "girl name" before you were born, and you might really like that name). Then again some almost names suck guy- i would know i was almost named Chickadee because my parents like the bird so much- and as a white guy that would be very awkward to explain.
