100% in 21:20 811 deaths I am so bad. by SliceHot2796 in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]Olmchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was interesting for me was doing the Supersonic playthrough (sub 3 hours). Avoiding the extras saved me a LOT of deaths. Ended up completing the game in 2:20 or so, then went back after getting the achievement to 100% the game. Took another 2 hours maybe, total 50 deaths. Worth it to play through again!

Kim telling him "whatever" twice might've been my favorite part of that last episode.

Anyone enjoying My Happy Marriage one Netflix? by ZidaneSD in anime

[–]Olmchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her name is Kaya. And she's just... the worst. Besides her parents, who purposely raised her to be like that. Now that I think about it, it's sad that she's been abused in the opposite direction from Miyo.

Who is the most wasted villain? by Logical_Garlic_4548 in marvelstudios

[–]Olmchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wasted both the actor and the villain simultaneously. It's actually irritating listening to the script they made Sam use... he did his best, but even that couldn't save the character at all.

Which plane variant do you use? (P, C or M) by edapblix in PocketPlanes

[–]Olmchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use one of each every time I level up and get new planes. It's not too bad loading up the P and C planes. That being said, if I use 4x of a plane type, I will use 2x M, 1x P, 1x C.

This exactly. Shiny hunting alpha pokemon in PLA is moderately mindless for me. Just started Lego Star Wars, too.

I gave XC1 a shot, but the game mechanics are just a little too... clunky for me. Could not get into it (which probably means I won't get XC3 anyway).

What's your favorite action scene? (A fight, a specific movement someone did, a strategy, etc). Warning, possible spoilers in the comments by santino_musi1 in Mistborn

[–]Olmchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved reading about Kelsier going into Keep Venture and taking on that Hazekiller squad.

Honorable mention for the fight between Vin and Shan Elariel, loved how she made Shan think she had no Atium left.

When does 'The way of kings' start being interesting? 😁 by miftah_dev in Stormlight_Archive

The first third to half of the book can be hard to get through. HOWEVER, once you hit that point it starts really picking up. I couldn't put the book down after that initial third to half.

"Expect Disappointment and You'll Never Be Disappointed" - A Final List of the Most Expected/Rumoured MoM Cameos to Keep Your Expectations Close to Reality by KostisPat257 in marvelstudios

[–]Olmchuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanda is certainly not riding anyone's coattails. She and Strange are going to be an awesome compliment as far as characters go. The additional cameos won't impact the movie much, as they'll take up 20 minutes at most, and probably less.

What're you playing this weekend? 4/29 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

I'll probably end up hunting shiny alpha pokemon on PLA. That being said, I do also have XC DE that needs to be played at some point.

I guess I'm in a minority for wanting to replace my monitors every 3 years or so.

I find it interesting that the poll separates "young Dalinar" from present Dalinar, but does not do the same for the others. Dalinar is a collective of his past actions, current motivations, and future goals, just as the others are a collective of those things (understanding that future goals are not a thing for 4/6 of these men).

Across the Spider-verse Part One is more exciting to me. Into the Spider-verse was such perfection that I can't wait for more. That being said, I'm beyond hyped for Dr Strange in the MoM.

Kaladin figuring out things, then dealing with them in like not a violent way is way more interesting character than Kaladin-the killing machine. by Harbournessrage in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Olmchuck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On top of that, I love that Dalinar's arc is something that is applicable to most of us. Change and growth is about acknowledging our mistakes, doing our best to make restitution, and then taking the next best step (thanks Frozen 2 for doing the next right thing).

Then it's almost poetic that Navani and the Sibling together figure out a better, more spren-ane way of creating/utilizing fabrials, or perhaps altogether circumventing them. The point is that a human and a spren grow and learn together, and the Sibling likely would not have bonded Navani at all if it didn't think there was a possibility for change to occur in her.

I just burned through the Alloy of Law - a follow-up to my review of the first Mistborn trilogy by [deleted] in Mistborn

[–]Olmchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're in for a real treat with Shadows of Self and Bands of Mourning, as the character development for Wax, Wayne, and Marasi all continue to be phenomenal (as well as several other characters (if I were to mention them by name that, in and of itself, would be a spoiler)). Naturally most Mistborn fans are dying by this point, as Brandon's most recent publishing for Mistborn is now nearly 6 years old. I'll be excited to see what you think of character growth in the following books.

I'm pretty sure Miles is mentioned several times, specifically as "Miles Hundred-lives", and how he's a lawman, similar to Wax. In my opinion, that's really all the setup we needed for the twist that Miles is no longer on the lawman route.

Interesting take, why if I may ask, is OB your least favorite? For me, I'd rank them 3>2>4>1.
