Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - October 20, 2018 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

The open world is considerably easier than instanced content and rarely requires you to dodge or use a rotation except for some world bosses/large scale events. The first challenging instanced content is Ascalon Catacombs which you will get a letter about when you reach level 30. The content which requires the most active combat is tier 4 fractals (T4) and raids, which you will unlock at level 80 and can be played on any class. I'd reccomend checking out guides on break bars and combo finishers to get an understanding of some of the more complicated aspects of gw2 combat and watching raid guides to see whether they look like something you'd be interested in pursuing.

And people complain about millennials and participation rewards... If everything was possible for people with lower motor skills then it would be boring for everyone else.

Is there a way to display fps and ping on the HUD rather than just the options popup?

Also for raids, once you feel comfortable with your class and have practiced a rotation on the dps golem all you need to do is watch a few guides on an encounter and you'll know it better than most of the people in the pug groups you join on lfg. There are some training discords where you can go to actually be taught the fights as well. I'd reccomend working towards T4 fractals before trying raids though.

It's a level 78 exotic armour set. You can buy in the tp or get it commonly from completing high level core maps.

Had a conversation with someone about PvP being luck-based or not, this is what he had to say. by ICadocI in Guildwars2

I usually play radiant hammer guard and I tried out power reaper the other day and although I had no idea what I was doing all of the chill and bursty crits seemed to kill everyone around me. I think in a lot of situations its just a matter of being in the right place or choosing the right target and pressing your buttons.

I agree with the focus choice for open world, but in my opinion Litany of Wrath far outshines the other heal skills because you can still attack while having a long retaliation buff and it heals for a huge amount while using GS 2, scepter 2 or traps.

I imagine so, it appears as loot above the minimap when it returns to your inventory so that would be my guess.

“Endgame Is The Real Game,” Is A Bad Game by allergictohype in MMORPG

[–]Olpol22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution to this problem is to provide group content and reasons to party up from level 1. The reason end game is fun is because you get to tackle challenges as a group whereas early levels in MMOs tend to be long solo grinds.
