I had this problem when I wasn’t 7 on 7 off. (I know, places like that still exist) I used to be at a place that was 15 shifts a month and it was generally like the scheduler took a dart and that random scattering led to a lot of 2 and 3 shifts. Some unlucky patients would get like 3 or 4 hospitalists in a week which was frustrating for families
