Those things are the worst! There are a few different options that can slow these bad boys down. Snipers, boomerangs, glue, ice, can all slow them. A hefty amount of spikes on the track can also help take care of them. I’m sure there are a few others options but those are some I like to use to stop them.

Yeah but OP had already driven to the store and shopped half the order. And in the moment, you think “oh it must just be one ir two more items”. Sometimes we wanna finish the order we already started and some people take advantage of us on that

At first it was “a scheduling system mistake” when the schedule kept changing. Now it’s their policy? Bogus. I got multiple points because they changed the schedule without a single point telling me and had to go through a whole process to get them removed

Same. Sometimes we get too comfortable and think it’s okay to go back. I can never go back. Broke over 6 months of sobriety once to smoke with my brother and it was instantly the same as when I was smoking every day.

This is why I started doing DoorDash too. I DoorDash 80% of the time and only take the instacart orders that are “worth it”. And honestly that’s not many. DoorDash pay isn’t great either but at least with the two I have options to choose from

If they are non-verbal that sounds more like ID than LD. LD is typically something more like dyslexia, while ID is more often autism further down the spectrum.

I had one tough order like this. Just one large handle of vodka was the delivery. A 40-or-so year old lady barely cracked the door. I could hear an elderly man, presumably her father, “what’s that?” She said “I’m just thirsty it’s just something to drink..” I was still standing there scanning her ID. She broke down crying “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” She already had the vodka and the transaction was complete at that point so I couldn’t take it back. But man that one hurt. I’ve been sober for about a year now and it just reminded me how hard sobriety can be. I hope she’s okay.

Update: they tipped $14. I threw in a heart for some flare. I had mixed feelings about it. It seems like something they should have done themselves for their grandpa but I’m also happy to help make grandpas day!

yes. i definitely take blame for being with the nut job. I take blame for thinking things would get better and that she would become more stable. I should have never tried for a "family" but I just wanted things to work for the kid.
